Extracting elements of a particular slot from S4 object
Hi there, can anyone tell me how to extract to values of a particular slot for some S4 object? Let take following example:

Day Count Convention
Hi everybody,
i'm working on the next version of the CreditMetrics package. So i have
the question, are there any functions or packages which have have the
functionality to calculate dates with a certain day count convention
like act/360 or 30/360? Intensive search in the r-help archive or in the
manuals did not bring any solution.

two perspective plots in in plot
Dear all,
I would like to put two perspective plots into one plot. The help page
for ?persp shows how one can add points and lines but not another
perspective plot.

Help required: binomial option pricing using package
I'm using the CRRBinomialTreeOption function (in package "fOptions") with a
loop for pricing a large number of options. But I can't transfer the values
obtained from this function to a "numeric" matrix as the outcome of this
function is not a simple numeric.

Graphical parameters in perspective plot
Hello,
I've a problem for setting graphical parameters in perspective plot
(function persp).
I wonder if it's possible to add some text (function text) on an
existing persp plot USING the axis coordinates.
In fact I want to add some text on a persp plot according to x
coordinates.
I've tried to use text(xcoord,ycoord, label="toto") but the toto text
doesn't appear at

I would like to have math symbols in perspective plots
i tried : persp(x,y,z,xlab=expression(phi))
but it plots it as phi.

Computer Modern Fonts in R graphic
Hello all,
I am trying to use computer modern fonts in my r grahics. I tried to do,
as described here: http://www.stat.auckland.ac.nz/~paul/R/CM/CMR.html
but unfortunately, it does not work.
First of all I downloaded the cm-lgc package and the AFM and PFB-files
from the page and put them in my R working directory, so far, so good.
Then I tried to run the following code:

Perspective or Contour Plot of a Matrix
I would like to plot a large (401 x 101) matrix of numbers as a
perspective plot (with the columns and row indices as the y and x
components and the values in the matrix at the z values). I try to
convert it to a data frame, but it always errors out with "Figure
margins too large". What does this mean? How can I get the plot
generated?

Perspective axes
Is there a way to get the axes labels for a persp() plot to show the
actual values employed? ticktype='detailed' only shows a scale from 0 to
1. My values are (for example) y in 0.2-0.7, x in 450-560 and I would
like to suppress the z labels.
How can I get the x and y values to appear on the plot?
R-2.3.1, Windows XP Home.

formatting numbers along axes as percents for perspective plot
Hello, I'm producing a 3D plot using the persp function. All my values for X, Y, and Z are decimals ranging from 0 to 1. I'd like to be able format the three axes so that the tick values are 0% 20% 40%, etc... instead of just being 0 .2 .4. Does anyone know how to do this?

persp() problem
I am having some trouble getting the persp() package to change the x
and y axis on a 3d plot. It defaults to the [0,1] interval and when I
try to change it I get errors.
Example:
This works:

vis.gam zlab problem
I am using the mgcv package to develop vis.gam plots and having trouble
figuring out how to relabel the z-axis (image attached). It is currently
labeled as "linear predictor," but I would like to change it to a different
name. Currently I am using this code:

number of ticks in a persp() plot
Hi, I am trying to specify four ticks (at 0,1,2,3 for the y axis) in a persp
plot but the defaults overrule my specification and I obtain seven of them.
Is it possible to gain full control over them in such a plot? Here is my
code:

persp, array and colors
Dear R-users,
I'd like to plot a three-dimensional surface and at the meantime I'm using
an array. I would like to have the values of my first matrix in the heights
of the plot and the colors of the single facet taking into account the

S+Finmetrics has a number of very specilised functions. I am
particularly interested in the estimation of cointegrated VARs (chapter
12 of Zivot and Wang). In this context the functions coint() and

persp and greek symbols in the axes labels
Hello,
I am plotting a 3D function using persp and I would like to use greek
symbols in the axes labels.
I have found examples like this one on the web:
