Purge-like ability for the augeas type?
I''ve been searching around but haven''t found a way to do something
like a purge with augeas.
If you have a file such as
[iniheader]
entry1 (managed by puppet)
entry2 (not managed by puppet)
And you want to add ''entry3'' as well as removing anything not managed
by puppet in that subsection then you currently do not have this
capability.
Is this correct?

Hi,
I am an R newbie and one thing I am having trouble with binding variables that
I have created within one data frame into a new data frame when using
na.omit(). To illustrate this problem I will give the example I am working on
and the approah I have been using:-
data.frame1<-filepath....
attach(data.frame1)
#create a new variable using a function
new.variable<-rep(1,length(weight3))

How to embed italic Greek letters in a eps file?
Hi,
I need to add on a plot text containing italic Greek characters using
the function mtext (i.e. I cannot use Hershey vectors). The characters
are nicely displayed when the file is saved as png but not when saved as
eps. See code below as example:
#postscript('test.eps')
png('test.png')
plot(1,1, type = 'n')
mtext(side = 3, line = 2,

Adding two data.frames.
Hi
I have two data frames that contains the same sort of data and I want do add
them together to get one big data frame, anyone know how to do that?
ex:
data.frame1
A B C
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
and
data.frame2
A B C
9 8 7
6 5 4
3 2 1
Would then become one big set:
data.frame3
A B C
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
9 8 7
6 5 4
3 2 1
Thx for your help

PREDICTIONS from a PIECEWISE LINEAR (mixed) MODEL: THEY AIN'T LINEAR BETWEEN BREAK POINTS!!
I Dears,
if that wouldn't take u too much effort I'd like to ask for a swift opinion:
I have a alinear (mixed effect) model that I wish to run as a piecewise one.
When I predict the values Iget quite some odds and disturbing results:
The predicted stright line after the break point is not straight at all,
instead behaves like if it was a hig order polynomial or something
similar!!!!

Italicize Greek symbols in axis
Hello there,
Is there any way to italicize Greek symbols such as mu in axis? From the help
files of mathematical anotations: "Note that bold, italic and bolditalic do not
apply to symbols, and hence not to the Greek symbols such as mu which are
displayed in the symbol font. They also do not apply to numeric constants.", it
seems that it cannot be done.
Thanks,

auto-detection of frame boundary
I tried feeding in the 3 encoded frame in ONE BLOCK, and calling speex_decode() 3 times in a roll. Only the 1st frames came out perfectly. For the other 2, I got "corrupt" frame warning.
I was supposed to get 38 bytes consumed each frame (narrow-band, VBR off). I tried speex_bits_remaining() to peek on the # of bits consumed, and got variable (clearly wrong)#s returned.
But if I

Bold greek letters using plotmath
I'm trying to annotate some graphics using plotmath and finding out that the
code I'm using isn't bolding the greek letters - it bolds the rest (once I
adjusted the numerics to characters), it's just failing on the greek
characters.
Any suggestions welcomed.

order() fails on a chr object of class "AsIs" with "\265" in it
Here's an example (session info at the end).

Error in if (xi > xj) 1L else -1L : missing value where TRUE/FALSE needed

> order(foov)

> str(tmpv)

frame_info_add
Hi,
I have this idea:
It can be useful to have for each frame two variables stored in bitstream that will hold information about starting and ending position of \"valid\" samples in the frame.
With these additional information it will be possible to do simple editing (like cutting or concatenating two streams) without decompressing/recompressing at sample-granularity.
Simple example

[PATCH 0/7] ocfs2: Directory indexing support
The following patches implement indexed directory support in Ocfs2, mostly
according to the design doc I wrote up a while ago:
http://oss.oracle.com/osswiki/OCFS2/DesignDocs/IndexedDirectories
The patches have been rebased on top of 2.6.29-rc2. It should be trivial to
put them into merge_window. Things are what I'd call complete now. I'd like
to get these into the merge_window branch

for users of thunderbird, up to 17.0.9 anyway, when you compose
a reply to post that has long lines, over 72 characters, pressing
<ctrl+r> will form line breaks and quotes in reply.

[git patches] Ocfs2 updates for 2.6.30
Hi,
The following patches comprise the bulk of Ocfs2 updates for the
2.6.30 merge window. Aside from larger, more involved fixes, we're adding
the following features, which I will describe in the order their patches are
mailed.
Sunil's exported some more state to our debugfs files, and
consolidated some other aspects of our debugfs infrastructure. This will

menu module behaviour for menu exit
Hi,
I was looking for a way to have a submenu go back to the previous menu
when you use Escape inside the submenu. Or to return back to a menu when
you return from a com32 entry (eg. kbdmap, hdt or rosh).
I had hoped something like this worked:
----
default bootlocal
prompt 1
label menu
menu hide
kernel menu.c32
label bootlocal
menu hide
localboot -1
menu begin main

Joint test
Dear All,
I am estimating a Cox proportional hazard model, with several interactions
of the type a*z + a*y + a*x + b*z + b*y + b*x.
I need to know if the first three (the "a"s) are jointly significantly
different from the last three (the "b"s). I have tried several approaches,
but have been unsuccessful.
Here's the model, and the code I came up with, with the obvious

vorbiscomment gui ideas
I was playing in Glade tonight with couple of GUI ideas for the vorbis
comment editor. I've attached the glade file.
A few notes:
On the user-friendly version, we might want an "Advanced" tab that would
pop up the user-hostile version to edit "non-standard" comment tags.
I'm just not sure how to do that in a way that won't scare the
non-technical. We need to
