How to set the scale of axis?
Hello,everyone.
I want to know how to control the scale of axises.
For example, the range of x axis is (1,100),and I want to show the scale in
the axis as this:
1 20 40 60 80 100.
Is there any parameters in plot() or other functions to set the scale?

Samba and UFW
Here is the ufw.log after enabling logging medium and trying to connect to
the windows net. Unfortunately the web Microsoft page is in German. I think
it says window uses smb1 syntax.

applying strsplit to a whole column
I am sorry, I'd like to split my column ("names") such that all the
beginning of a string ("X..") is gone and only the rest of the text is
left.
x<-data.frame(names=c("X..aba","X..abb","X..abc","X..abd"))
x$names<-as.character(x$names)

str(x)
Can't figure out how to apply strsplit in this situation - without

Samba and UFW
Rowland,
The computer name 'martin-RB042AV-ABA-a1410y' was set by Linux Mint when it
was installed. I'm not sure I can change it. I check it on the Mint forum.
I'll turn off the smb... feature and see what happens. Yes the ports listed
below are open and set to pass through the firewall. Should I unset the
netbios name". Going to try the modification to the ufw rules file as

Rowland,
I found the reason for the "wrong argument" error. The windows firewall was
set to block remote connections. Fixed that now I'm able to connect to the
network. Now I'm back to the original problem. That is I cannot connect to
the windows network with ufw enabled. Error "Cannot mount location - file or
directory does not exist". If I press ok the error

More problems with samba 3.0.23c and NT4
Hi everyone!
I have some trouble with samba 3.0.23 as PDC for NT4 workstations with SP6a.
I have upgraded from samba2.
1. The ntconfig.pol from the netlogon-share does'nt work. I get a prf1.tmp in the User-Profile-Folder and the policy wouldn't mix to
the registry. In the Event-Log I found an entry

AIX and 2.1.1p1
The new login code works fine with AIX 4.3. Two nits, though. If
--disable-lastlog is defined, the code still tries to slog through wtmp
to determine the last login time. Is this a bug or a feature? If a
feature, change the DISABLE_LASTLOG test below to WITH_AIXAUTHENTICATE.
Also, a small typo in configure.in, plus an AIX tweak.

call from DID, not hearing RINGTONEs
Hello,
We have a DID partner sending traffic to Asterisk via SIP, but we are not
hearing ringtones. When we call the same extension via SIP, we can hear
that's it"s ringing (virtually)..
Is is something related with call-progress not recognized by DID provider ?
Thanks,

This is the samba conf file (not on the DC's, but on the box where profiles are being stored - which is where our problem is, IMO) - does anything in here need addressing?
[I've slightly sanitized some names.]
I'm trying to gather relevant samba logs from this same box, as well as anything that looks relevant from the Windows station event logs.
But I thought starting here might be

the fact that you can construct factors with non-unique aka
"duplicated" levels in R has been re-raised. As mentioned there,
we had a small discussion here (on 'R-devel') a bit more than 7 years
ago, where I had said that indeed R core had
