Substituting functions in package - Lattice
Hi,
I'm trying to learn how a package works but substituting a
parituclart function with my own (basically the original one with
some debug statements).
The package is lattice and the method is "print.trellis" which is a
S3 method and is not visible.
To replace this, i sourced a file with the rewritten print.trellis,
and the old one was replaced.
However, i get this error

lattice: how to get 'lattice.theme'
I'm using lattice 0.14. As of version 0.5 the Changes says there is a
global list called 'lattice.theme'. How can I access this? I have tried
many ways, including
options(lattice.theme)
lattice.getOption("lattice.theme")
get("lattice.theme", envir = .LatticeEnv)
getFromNamespace("lattice.theme", "lattice")

help after DIAGNOSIS.txt
Dear Samba Guru's...
I have a Samba server (under RedHat Linux) that is working for my [home]
and [tmp] directories, but won't work for another directory that I've
added. I've checked the syntax and I've gone through all the steps in
DIAGNOSIS.txt.
Everything passes the tests until I get to step 9 on the particular
directory that won't attach (/home/tyvekkj). I can

starting up nmbd
Hi,
Still playing around with Samba 2.0.5a running on HP-UX 10.20. Attempted
to startup the smbd and nmbd daemon during system startup. smbd starts
up but not the nmbd. Is there any hints. thanks in advance.

what is the preferred method to create a package local variable?
for the moment, I'm using:
.onAttach <- function(libname, pkgname) {
.bbg.db.conn <<- dbConnect(dbDriver("PostgreSQL"), user="blah","blah")
}
.onUnload <- function(libpath) {
dbDisconnect(.bbg.db.conn)
}
which results in a hidden global variable in the global environment.
I would prefer to make the assignment only in the package namespace.

Windows XP SP2 doesn't login to SAMBA domain
Hello,
We have a samba server for our computer lab. Currently all the machines are
either windows 98 or windows 2000. The 98 machines are assigned to the
'INTRANET' workgroup, while the windows 2000 machines are part of the
'INTRANET' domain. We have no problems with this setup.
I'm now trying to deploy Windows XP (sp2) computers to this lab. I'm
constantly getting

lld/mach-o x86_64 asserts
Sorry, I was thinking to review the test but didn't.
Is this test complete? It does invoke lld, but it didn't verify its output.

llvm optimizer turning musttail into tail
I've got some calls like:
musttail call void bitcast (i32 (i32, i8*, %Type*)* @MyMethod to void
(i32, i8*)*)(i32 %0, i8* %1)
ret void
Into something like:
%8 = tail call i32 @MyMethod(i32 %0, i8* %1, %Type* null)
ret void
I realize I'm losing a parameter there, but this is an interface jump
trick I use and relies on the end code being a 'jmp' (x86). I realize i

Missing symbol __executable_start on Android when linking with LLD
When linking a project with lld, the android libc links to
__executable_start
which isn't defined when linking with lld (tried on x86), but is when
linking with gnu ld it seems.
I tried:
.globl __executable_start
__executable_start = __ehdr_start
as a workaround but seems to be ignored.
Anyone know a better workaround?
Thanks,

taskpool exhaustion in lld/wasm
It's a wasm testcase that ends up with a 1 mb executable; after 15 minutes I killed it, it doesn't do anything (note that it's waiting on a conditional variable in ALL threads)

[LLD] Mixing bitcode and native code
The problem is a bitcode implementation that has a stdcall function that's used from native code. 1 side has _elements_exception_handler, compiled that would be __elements_exception_handler at 20 due to stdcall. The native bit has the mangled name and the linker can't find it as the bitcode indexes have it without mangling.
I'll try to prepare a testcase when I get back in the office.

[LLD] Mixing bitcode and native code
Mixing native and bitcode files should just work, and that happens all the
time, as most programs need at least crt.o (which is a precompiled native
object file containing startup code).
Could you elaborate the issue a bit? It might be a bug in lld.

Assertion fail/crash in X86FrameLowering::GetFrameIndexReference SEH
I think r262546 introduced the assumption that allocas are used exactly
once with catchpad. It seems easy to fix, though.
