Samba4 and NVSv4
Short story: cannot get Kerberized NFSv4 to work. I've googled a great
deal and cannot find where I have goofed (and there sure is a lot of
misleading and just plain incorrect information out there), so would
appreciate another pair of eyes. NFSv4 without Kerberos does work fine, as
does ID mapping. We're using NFSv4 in production with sec=sys, but I'm not
happy with that. My

I try to work with wine for 2 days now. Meantime I compiled it,
installed my first Application (a german educational program called

For installing the application I needed to install dcom98 first and add

biglm() and NeweyWest()
Dear all,
I am working on a large dataset and need to use biglm() to perform OLS
regressions. I have detected significant ARCH effects which I try to account
for using the Newey-West correction.
So far, I have worked with NeweyWest() in the sandwich package. NeweyWest()
however seems to be unable to handle an object of class "biglm".
Looking into the code, I figured out that

AKIMA color contouring
R Users,
I am using the AKIMA contrib package to generate a 2D colored
contour plot.
The code generates a contour value color legend adjacent the plot
based on the range of
Z values in the plot.
Is there some way to make the association between Z values and
color scale absolute
rather than relative i.e., I want dark green to always mean Z = 4.00 even
if I don't

Winbind authentication over transitive trusts between multiple W2k3 Domains
Hallo,
we use Samba 3.0.22 with MIT Kerberos and winbind on Ubuntu edgy in a
Windows2003 ADS enviroment. Everything works fine like kinit, net ads
join, getting the Domain accounts from the own and other domains, but one
important thing fails - obviously winbind cannot resolve name to sid, when
the account is in another domain, where is only a transitive trust, not a
direct.
Lets say there

cannot add new machines to domain
Hi,
i have running samba with ldap as a PDC. The PDC works fine, except
adding new computer to the domain. The Computer how was added 2-3 Years
ago works fine, but i cannot add new PCs to the domain.
The samba log says to remove the paramtere 'algorithmic rid base' and
use 'net groupmap add' and 'net setmaxrid'. The command "net setmaxrid"
is not existent.

MA process in panels
Dear R users,
I have an unbalanced panel with an average of I=100 individuals and a total
of T=1370 time intervals, i.e. T>>I. So far, I have been using the plm
package.
I wish to estimate a FE model like:
res<-plm(x~c+v, data=pdata_frame, effect="twoways", model="within",
na.action=na.omit)
?where c varies over i and t, and v represents an exogenous impact on x

Share & Domain Level Authentication Required From Sam e Server
Create a Unix user account for that person.
Add them to /etc/samba/smbusers (unixuser=windowsuser)
This is how I get non-domain users printing to my
samba printers. File access should work too, but
you may have to tweak the permissions for them.

Referring to objects themselves
Is it possible to refer to an object from within a method, as in *this *in
Java? I can't find anything about this in the documentation. Sorry if I
missed it.
Thanks.

Implementing cross-thread reduction in the AMDGPU backend
I'm wondering about the focus on bound_cntl. Any cleared bit in the row_mask or bank_mask will also disable updating the result.

Implementing cross-thread reduction in the AMDGPU backend
Sorry about the formatting...
Anyway, I think there may be a misinterpretation of bound_cntl. My understanding is that:
0 => if the source is invalid or disabled, do not write a result
1 => if the source is invalid or disabled, use a 0 instead
So the problematic case is where bound_cntl is 0, not when it is 1.
