JGR GUI for R-2.10.0 "Help" "Print"
I have updated R 2.9.1 to 2.10.0. and JGR GUI 1.7. I am running Windows XP. I can't seem to get the JGR "Print" or "Help" functions to work. The system locks and requires me to "stop the process". In the past I have preferred the opreation and "feel" of JGR GUI. I realize that this help forum is for R; but, I am hoping that some other R-user is

Problem compiling R 2.1.* on SUSE 9.2
I have been unable to compile either R 2.1.0 or 2.1.1 under SUSE 9.2. The system simply hangs as far as I can tell. All key board and mouse service dies. I have had no problem compiling earlier versions of R through 2.0.1, aside from remembering to include readline in the configuration. Configure runs without any warnings except that Info or html versions of the R Manuals. The SUSE 9.2

iplots/JGR on OS X 10.4.8
iMac Intel Core Duo; OS X 10.4.8; Java 1.5.0_06; R 2.4.1; JGR 1.4-14; rJava 0.4-12; iplots 1.0-5 I'm unable to get JGR or iplots to load using "library(JGR)" or "library(iplots)", respectively. This feels like it might be a classpath or Mac look-and-feel issue, but I'm not sure where to go with it at this point. I've searched the fora and web to no avail. Any

trouble loading JGR on Debian
Dear developers I am unable to (properly) load JGR on Debian testing. The JGR window will pop out and R will start up, but it will not perform any of the JGR specific library() calls (rJava, JavaGD, etc.) and will stuck at 100% CPU while the prompt will be non-responsive. The hack that helped previously in such cases, accessing Help > About [1], works no more. All R packages are installed via

JGR install problem
Hi, I thought I'd like to try out JGR, but after installing the package (and dependencies) I receive the following when I try to load it: > library(JGR) Loading required package: rJava Loading required package: JavaGD Loading required package: iplots Note: On Mac OS X we strongly recommend using iplots from within JGR. Proceed at your own risk as iplots cannot resolve potential ev.loop

I remember JGR installation on SuSE 10.3 as a nightmare that eventually I overcame with JGR designers' help. I have installed SuSE 11.1, latest R version and am trying to install JGR again. It is still a nightmare. I have followed the guidelines on http://jgr.markushelbig.org/JGR_on_Linux.html I have made sure I have the so R libraries. I have installed java-1.6.0-sun and its development

Runs up and runs down test
Can someone point me to an implementation of the "runs up and runs down" test, or does such beast exist in R? From web searches the "runs up and runs down" test is commonly used for testing pseudo-random number generators and in simulations. John C. Davis describes its use in geology in his book on geological statistics (2002). Having searched the full site, I can locate only

Dear list; I have R Version 2.3.1 (2006-06-01) installed on a AMD 64 machine with SUSE 10.1. I have Sun Java version 1.5.0-sun installed. I have used "install.packages("JGR", dep=TRUE) to install rJava, iplots and JGR. I would like to do a presentation of linux and R for the department! Compiling rJava do not give any error messages! But when trying to load

R and Java 10 ➜ rJava not able to build
Don't waste too much time on this. It is due to a change introduced in Java 10 at short notice. I believe the rJava maintainers are working on a fix/workaround. -pd > On 31 Mar 2018, at 10:22 , John <jwd at surewest.net> wrote: > > On Tue, 27 Mar 2018 22:25:33 +0300 > Luis Puerto <luiss.puerto at gmail.com> wrote: > > I don't run a Mac so this may not

JGR/Deducer Installation
Hi, Sorry if this is to wrong mailing list. In that case, please point me to correct mailing list. Please also excuse rather long mail - I am not sure what piece of information would be useful for anybody who could help me. Couple of days back I had put a query about box-plots using GUI. I got some excellent suggestions. One of them was to use JGR/Deducer. It worked quite well for my needs.

How to update JGR
I recently updated R on Linus/SuSE 11.1 I complained because no on-line help was available from JGR after R update. I was told to update JGR as well. How can I do that ? I installed JGR on SuSE three times in the past with different R versions.Every time it's been a nightmare. I am afraid to have to spend a whole day, maybe longer, to update JGR ... I would greatly appreciate some clear

Fixed: Re: Re: [stats-rosuda-devel] how to install JGR manually?
To follow up: I believe I had a version mismatch between one of the packages and R. I made sure to install the latest of all, at which point jgr.exe launched just fine. Thanks to Simon and Liviu for their comments. Just one note: the Windows launcher does not provide any info if it can't reach the 'net (as opposed to listing missing packages as suggested previously). Carl Oct 16,

JGR makes help more helpful
Hi All, A few weeks ago I suggested that it would be nice to be able to submit lines from the help files for execution. You can cut and paste them into the console, or enter example(function) to run them all. However, I often find myself wanting to run just a line or two, or even parts of a line to see an intermediate result. It turns out that this is one of the many nice features of the JGR
