REPLACE and REMOVE fns
I want to use the replace function on "R_Jeter_04_post" (see attached)
so that S=1, D=1, T=1, HR=1, O=0, K=0, E=0, FC=0, and W,IW,and HP are
removed, so that i have a simple list of 1's and 0's.
I understand that I need to use the command "replace(x,list,values)"
and "rm()" but I'm having trouble using them. (syntax errors and
whatnot)
Any help would be

A few months back, a very alpha version of bliss got posted. That shouldn''t
have happened, but, it was pretty much ignored so I didn''t worry about it.
But now it seems there''s a bit of a fuss about this. I''ll post the

[PATCH nbdkit 9/9] tests/old-plugins: Add plugin from nbdkit 1.18.2.

HP Toolbox kills Samba
Hi,
I've encountered the following problem at a client. The problem results
in one or more of the smbd processing continuously grabbing more and more
memory until the system runs out of memory or just becomes unusable due to a
low memory condition. This error is extremely serious as the entire server
is eventually brought down by one error.
After debugging this error at the

Paint chanegs block dbus and fuse plugins
I was writing a simple plugin a while ago which just
sets the paint values on inactive windows. The plugin is
very simple and the main part is below.
When I load this plugin it blocks dbus and fuse plugins
so that they only reply to requests when the active window
changes.
Is there anything obvious here that would cause that?

C source code question (Robustbase edition)
Hi all,
I have been trying to add the line:
h = n - p0 + 1;
just after
h = n / 2 + 1;
(line 131) in the source code (the original paper mention this is possible
for p0<n).
with p0 declared as an int (actually i used the same declaration
protocol as n everywhere in the code).
The "new" source compiles, but when i give it reasonable
values of p0, it runs unto

Windows Offline Folders
Am running Samba 2.2.7 on Red Hat 8.0 with Windows 2K clients patched to SP4
Creating off line folders works fine but if any file is modified off line
and then sync'd back when the laptop is reconnected to the network it comes
back with an unable to connect - access denied message. But I can quite
happily copy the files over manually.
I have attached the log file (log level = 3) for the

Already outdated, but rounded ;)
I literally just opened the 5yrs logo, changed the text and then done:
inkscape -z -o logo/fish-10yrs.{png,svg}
cp {logo,website}/fish-10yrs.svg
and then updated the rest of the files.

Unable to browse Samba share by hostname from certain clients...
Dear Help,
I am having a very odd problem. For some reason, I am able to browse to my
Samba share by IP address but not by host name from Windows 2008 servers in a
particular domain (the same domain the Samba server belongs to). However, I am
able to browse by host name from XP clients as well as Windows 2008 servers in a
different domain.
Even stranger, if I add an alias (using the netbios

Problem with a 64bit R on HP-UX]
Greetings,
We are trying to compile a 64bit version of R (1.7.0) on HP-UX (11.11),

Using a different compiler when creating a package on Windows
Hello!
I am updating to the R-devel version as of 2/28 and recompiling with
OpenBLAS. I got that to compile nicely.
I am now updating a package that uses the OpenBLAS and the PGI compiler,
which has changed too.
I just changed the path names in Makevars. Here is the Makevars file.
FC= d:/PGI/win64/18.10/bin/pgf90
F77= d:/PGI/win64/18.10/bin/pgf90
CC = d:/PGI/win64/18.10/bin/pgcc

[PATCH] filearch: Add s390 and s390x detection and tests.
Unfortunately I was unable to build s390 binaries since multilib was
dropped in Fedora 24 on s390x. Going from the source of the 'file'
command it seems as if it prints "32-bit" (the architecture is really
31 bit).

[PATCH] ia64/pv_ops: paravirtualized istruction checker.
This patch implements a checker to detect instructions which
should be paravirtualized instead of direct writing raw instruction.
This patch does rough check so that it doesn't fully cover all cases,
but it can detects most cases of paravirtualization breakage of hand
written assembly codes.
