How to generate 'minor' ticks in lattice (qqmath)
Dear group,
I tried to generate labels for every second tick in lattice (qqmath).
Version: 0.14-16
Date: 2006/12/01
R version 2.4.1 (2006-12-18)
An example:

R and Gnumeric
Hi,
I just read the "Embedding R in Gnumeric" idea at
http://www.r-project.org/SoC08/ideas.html. On my side, I intend to add
as many statistics related plot types to the current gnumeric charting
engine as possible. We already have boxplots and partial support for
histograms. My immediate plans are to finish the histogram code and add
probability plots

I am trying to impliment floating point comparsion for an architecture which
supports following type of floating point comparision if FPU is available:
fcmp.un --> true if one of the operand is NaN
fcmp.lt --> ordered less than, if any input NaN then return false
fcmp.eq --> ordered equal, if any input NaN

Post-hoc tests for interactions of between- and within-subject factors
Is there a standardized way in R to perform post-hoc comparisons for main
adn interaction effects of between- and within-subject factors?
For instance, I have a data set of performance of adults of different age
groups (20-30, 60-70,70-80) performing a WM task (n-back, with n=1,2,3,4) in
two different conditions (while sitting or walking). The corresponding ANOVA
produces the following output

ANOVA table gives a p value for each level of the factor. What I am
looking for is the omnibus p value for the factor, i.e. the test that
the factor (with all its levels) improves the prediction of the outcome.

adjusted R^2 vs. ordinary R^2
I thought the point of adjusting the R^2 for degrees of
freedom is to allow comparisons about goodness of fit between
similar models with different numbers of data points. Someone
has suggested to me off-list that this might not be the case.
Is an ADJUSTED R^2 for a four-parameter, five-point model
reliably comparable to the adjusted R^2 of a four-parameter,
100-point model? If such values

Hello,
?my PDA LOOX N560 could connect via WLAN to SAMBA under Etch.
Meanwhile I upgraded to Debian Lenny and now may PDA cannot connect anymore to
the server. Error 1223 or 1222.
Connecting to XP-Clients via WLAN is okay.
Connecting to Samba Wireshark tells me:
