geoR, plot of variog4 lines incomplete
I'm using R for Mac OSX version 1.14 (2129) and the geoR package version 1.6-5 (the current version in the R repository). I'm running R in OS 10.4.6 on a Mac G4 iBook (933MHz, 640 MB DDR SDRAM). I searched the R archive and did not find a posting on this issue. I want to use the variog and variog4 functions of geoR to characterize the pattern of spatial autocorrelation of tree

Bivariate normal equal-probability curve...
Good morning and I appreciate the availability of a help-list. I am a professional hydrologist, but not a professional statistician. Yet I find myself using statistical tools at least part of the time. My discovery of the R-project through a friend has been most helpful. Here is my problem: I'm tasked with fitting a dataset comprising correlated discharges from adjacent watersheds to

free dids on goiax.com
GoIAX, the Asterisk community's free IAX provider, is offering free US dids now. I loaded about 175 dids in and put up a very beta sign in page. Unfortunately I had to restrict the free us/canada outbound calling back down to toll-free only. There was a lot of war dialing and prank calling going on. I'm working on some stuff to hopefully curb that kind of stuff down so I can

Automating blacklists
Hi, I've been reading all I can on Google (and Asterisk TFOT book) looking for ideas on how to implement an automated blacklist feature. I would like to automatically blacklist a incoming number based on timestamp and count information. For example, if I get a prank call from the same number 5 times within 15 minutes, I want my dialplan to automatically blacklist this number. Should I be

interpreting bootstrap corrected slope [rms package]
Dear List: Below is the validation output of a fitted ordinal logistic model using the bootstrap in the rms package. My interpretation is that most of the corrected indices indicate little overfitting, however the slope seems to indicate that the model is too optimistic. Given that most of the corrected indices seem reasonable, would it be appropriate to use this model on future data if the

large numbers of observations using ME() of spdep
Dear All, We aim to remove the spatial structure of our data using Moran Eigen Vectors and spdep package . Our data has 3694 samples and 13 variables. The computer stop working after almost 4 days of processing (we found it emitting a sharp sound and with all colors on the screen. No wories, it was restared without problem!). And we are left with nothing: no result file was produced since the

Dear R community, I am analyzing plant communities with the function mvpart, using a dissimilarit matrix as input. Extend logging of openssh-server - e.g. plaintext password
Also, if password-based auth is not allowed, WTF would you want to log passwords? This whole idea is ugly, and smacks of a teenage-level prank attempt. I would strongly object against any such modification of the main source (though I'm sure the maintainers are sane enough to never let such a crap in). Of course the original poster is free to hack his own copy in whatever way he wants.?

[Fwd: Some interesting hashes]
Would somebody perhaps have some background on these tar files with such interesting names? To my understanding, OpenBSD=4.1 == OpenSSHD-4.6. Of course, this could just be a prank. Google knows about the mail address this (presumably) came from since about mid-2007, so it apparently has not been created just for the occasion.. Thanks in advance Jan -------------- next part -------------- An

Asterisk queues : command to run when a call is being bridged
Hi, Is there any way to run a command (AGI script, whatever else) at that moment when the call that was in the queue is being bridged to a specific agent? An examples of what I would want to do with this is, for example, have Asterisk ask the caller for his 4 digit customer ID before being put in the Queue. Once I know who the caller is being connected to (which agent) I'd run a

Bridge stops forwarding on fc8 xen 3.1
I have raised this issue a couple of times and had no response. I am hoping that in the last few months someone else may have had the same scenario and have had more success in resolving the issue than I am. I have 3 domUs running 2.6.21.7-5.fc8xen, running on a 32 bit host running 2.6.21-7.fc7xen (xen-3.1.2-2.fc7) I have had a number of occerances where the bridge stops forwarding packets

deriv when one term is indexed
Hi, I'm fitting a standard nonlinear model to the luminances measured from the red, green and blue guns of a TV display, using nls. The call is: dd.nls <- nls(Lum ~ Blev + beta[Gun] * GL^gamm, data = dd, start = st) where st was initally estimated using optim() st $Blev [1] -0.06551802 $beta [1] 1.509686e-05 4.555250e-05 7.322720e-06 $gamm [1] 2.511870 This works fine but I

fdrtool help
Hello, I am using fdrtool(x, statistic="pvalue") where x is a vector of chisq p-values. I can get this command to work with some x, but not with others. When it does NOT work, I get the following screen output: > fdrtool(pvals$Chi2.pval, statistic="pvalue") Step 1... determine cutoff point Step 2... estimate parameters of null distribution and eta0 Step 3... compute p-values

Help - Curvature measures of nonlinearity
Dear colleagues, Von Bertalanffy model is commonly adjust to data on fish length (TL) and age (AGE) TL= Linf*(1-exp(-K*(AGE-t0)). Linf, K and t0 are parameters of the model. One main goal of the growth study is the comparison of growth parameter estimates between sexes of the same species, or estimates from different populations. The realibility statistical tests normally applied are highly

R algorithm for maximum curvatures measures of nonlinear models
Hi all, I'm looking for the algorithm to calculate maximum intrinsic and parameter effects curvature of Bates & Watts (1980). I have Bates & Watts (1980) original article, Bates et al (1983) article, Seber & Wild (1989) and Ratkowsky (1983) books. Those sources show steps and algorithm to get this measures but I don't know translate C code to R language and I've no success
