post hoc test for lme using glht ?
Hi, I have a fairly simple repeated measures-type data set I've been attempting to analyze using the lme function in the nlme package. Repeated searches here and other places lead me to believe I have specified my model correctly. However, I am having trouble with post-hoc tests. From what I gather, other people are successfully using the glht function from the multcomp package to

Tukey post hoc test for testing interaction between two or more predictors
Hi everyone, I woudl like to apply a Tukey post hoc after a repeated measure ANOVA. I followed the suggestions that I found in this help -list especially this one: /[R] Tukey HSD (or other post hoc tests) following repeated measures ANOVA You want to use lme() in package nlme, then glht() in the multcomp package. This will give you multiplicity adjusted p-values and confidence intervals.

Tukey post hoc test and two way repeated measures ANOVA
Dear all, I have a serious problem in applying Tukey post hoc after a repeated measure ANOVA. I followed the suggestions that I found in this help -list especially this one: //[R] Tukey HSD (or other post hoc tests) following repeated measures ANOVA You want to use lme() in package nlme, then glht() in the multcomp package. Post-hoc tests for repeated measures in balanced experimental design
Hi, I am performing experiments in the field of visual perception where we often apply balanced designs. Within a group of normal subjects, we vary different stimulus conditions (like contrast, luminance, temporal frequency of stimulation) and derive some psychophysical or electrophysiological results from our subjects. Often, the main question is to test the effect of these parameters

Trouble with performing post hoc analysis Tukey for lme model using ghlt
Hi, I am new to R and I am trying to perform a post hoc tukey test using the multcomp package's ghlt for a lme model. My first attempt at doing so gave me an output, HOWEVER I have tried to do this again, it keeps coming up with the error: (Error in contrMat(table(mf[[nm]]), type = types[pm]) : less than two groups) My model is looking at effect of incubation temperature (3 groups) on

Two way anova repeated measures and post hoc testing - several questions
Hi, I am fairly new to R and still trying to figure out how it all works, and I have run into a few issues. I apologize in advance if my questions are a bit basic, I'm also no statistics wizard, so part of my problem my be a more fundamental lack of knowledge in the field. I have a dataset that looks something like this: Week Subj Group Readout 0 1 A 352.2 1 1 A

lme-post hoc
Hi all, I analysed my data with lme and after that I spent a lot of time for mean separation of treatments (post hoc). But still I couldn’t make through it. This is my data set and R scripts I tried. replication fertilizer variety plot height 1 level1 var1 1504 52 1 level1 var3 1506 59 1 level1 var4 1509 54 1 level1 var2 1510 48 2 level1 var1 2604 47 2 level1 var4 2606 51 2 level1 var3

interaction post hoc/ lme repeated measures
Hi Everyone, I’m trying to figure out how to get R to analyze this experiment properly. I have a series of subjects each with two legs. Within each leg there are two bones that I am interested in. There are also two treatments that I am interested in. That results in four different combinations of treatments. Obviously, since the subjects only have two legs, they can’t receive each

Tukey HSD (or other post hoc tests) following repeated measures ANOVA
Hi everyone, I am fairly new to R, and I am aware that others have had this problem before, but I have failed to solve the problem from previous replies I found in the archives. As this is such a standard procedure in psychological science, there must be an elegant solution to this...I think. I would much appreciate a solution that even I could understand... ;-) Now, I want to calculate a

post hoc test after lme
Hi! I am quiet new with R and I have some problems to perform a posthoc test with an lme model. My model is the following: >lme1<-lme(eexp~meal+time, random=~1|id,na.action=na.omit) and then i try to get a post hoc test: >summary(glht(lme1,linfct=mcp(meal="Tukey))) but I get a warning message: Erreur dans as.vector(x, mode) : argument 'mode' incorrect Thank you for your

Post-hoc tests in MASS using glm.nb
I am struggling to generate p values for comparisons of levels (post-hoc tests) in a glm with a negative binomial distribution I am trying to compare cell counts on different days as grown on different media (e.g. types of cryogel) so I have 2 explanatory variables (Day and Cryogel), which are both factors, and an over-dispersed count variable (number of cells) as the response. I know that both

Is using glht with "Tukey" for lme post-hoc comparisons an appropriate substitute to TukeyHSD?
Hello, I am trying to determine the most appropriate way to run post-hoc comparisons on my lme model. I had originally planned to use Tukey HSD method as I am interested in all possible comparisons between my treatment levels. TukeyHSD, however, does not work with lme. The only other code that I was able to find, and which also seems to be widely used, is glht specified with Tukey:

post-hoc test (glht?) which takes treatment into account not just explanatory variable overall
Hi R helpers! I have used a glht as a post-hoc test on an lmer with: -2 treatments (A & B) -1 categorical explanatory variable (song type) -1 response variable (latency to respond) I wanted to make comparisons between the categorical variables depending on treatment. At the moment the glht simply returns comparisons of each of the (3) categorical explanatory variables with each other

Using multcomp::glht() with Anova object
Hello everyone, I've conducted a Type III repeated-measures ANOVA using Anova() from the car package, based on the suggestions at http://blog.gribblelab.org/2009/03/09/repeated-measures-anova-using-r/(option 3) and http://languagescience.umd.edu/wiki/EEG#ERP_ANOVA_in_R. My ANOVA has two factors: Condition (3 levels) and Region (6 levels) and their interaction. Below is code to run the Anova

post hoc comparisons on interaction means following lme
Dear Colleagues, I have scoured the help files and been unable to find an answer to my question. Please forgive me if I have missed something obvious. I have run the following two models, where "category" has 3 levels and "comp" has 8 levels: mod1 <- lmer(x~category+comp+(1|id),data=impchiefsrm) mod2 <- lmer(x~category+comp+category*comp+(1|id),data=impchiefsrm)

glht function in multcomp gives unexpected p=1 for all comparisons
Hi, I have data with binomial response variable (survival) and 2 categorical independent variables (site and treatment) (see below).? I have run a binomial GLM and found that both IVs and the interaction are significant.? Now I want to do a post-hoc test for all pairwise comparisons to see which treatment groups differ.? I tried the glht function in the multcomp package, but I get surprising

Post-hoc tests for interactions of between- and within-subject factors
Is there a standardized way in R to perform post-hoc comparisons for main adn interaction effects of between- and within-subject factors? For instance, I have a data set of performance of adults of different age groups (20-30, 60-70,70-80) performing a WM task (n-back, with n=1,2,3,4) in two different conditions (while sitting or walking). The corresponding ANOVA produces the following output

Unable to do a post hoc test after Friedman's
I have R version 2.11.1 I am able to run a Friedman.test, but cant do further post.hoc test. Tried running "friedman.test.with.post.hoc"etc It comes with "Error: object 'friedman.test.with.post.hoc' not found" This is after loading the packages "coin" and "multcomp" Could anyone please send in any suggestions how to ratify? -- View this message

Comparaciones multiples lmer
