How to evaluate an lm() object for generating warning statement in a function
Hi, there I tried this post on R-help but did not generate any replies, so I thought I might try the waters here since it's a more programming-based group. I have written a function that will allow me to calculate the variance components for a model II (random effects) single factor ANOVA (perhaps this is me re-inventing the wheel, but I handn't yet come across anything in R that does

priorityjumping=no
I've been trying to use a set-up whereby I have several TA's connected to an Asterisk server (1.2.4) and they act like they're in a hunt-group i.e. try the first, if busy jump to the next etc. in my extensions.conf I had something like [inbound-trunk] exten => 441234123456,1,Dial(SIP/s1a,20,r) exten => 441234123456,102,Dial(SIP/s2a,20,r) exten =>

Experimental Design
I don't know if this is the best place to post this question but I will try anyway. I have two experiements for which I use one-way matched-randomized ANOVA for the analysis and I would like to compare different treatments in the two experiments. The only common group in the two experiments are the controls. Is there any ANOVA design that allows me to make this comparison taking into

Large directory performance
We have been struggling with our Lustre performance for some time now especially with large directories. I recently did some informal benchmarking (on a live system so I know results are not scientifically valid) and noticed a huge drop in performance of reads(stat operations) past 20k files in a single directory. I''m using bonnie++, disabling IO testing (-s 0) and just creating, reading,

Filter design in R?
Dr. Williams, I ran across your inquiry on one of the R-help mailing lists regarding digital filter design and implementation. I found no response to your email in the archives and was wondering if you were able to find anything. Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
