fitting of all possible models
Hi, Fitting all possible models (GLM) with 10 predictors will result in loads of (2^10 - 1) models. I want to do that in order to get the importance of variables (having an unbalanced variable design) by summing the up the AIC-weights of models including the same variable, for every variable separately. It's time consuming and annoying to define all possible models by hand. Is there a

help_transformation
heya, i am fitting linear mixed effect model to a response Y. Y shows an s-shaped distribution when using QQ-plots (some zero values and some very high values). hence, which transformation should i apply that Y follows a normal distribution? any r-function/package available to do this? thanks for any hint, regards, lukas ??? Which version works with NullDC 1.0.3?
Hello. I'm currently running Debian Wheezy (testing), and I'm unable to get NullDC to run. It keeps erring out with D3D messages. After reading the Wiki, I see that some were able to get it running. Can someone help me find a specific version of Wine that'll run this emulator? I've already tried 1.0.1, and 1.3.19. They are the current versions in Debian testing, and

testing slopes
Hello Instead of testing against 0 i would like to test regression slopes against -1. Any idea if there's an R script (package?) available. Thanks for any hint. Cheers Lukas ??? bootstrap
Hi, I would like to evaluate the frequency of the variables within the best selected model by AIC among a set of 12 competing models (I fit them with GLM) with a bootstrap procedure to get unbiased results. So I would ike to do the ranking of the 12-model-set 10'000 times separately and calculate the frequency of variables of the 10'000 best ranked models. I wrote a script doing the model

complex NA's match(), etc: not back-compatible change proposal
This is an RFC / announcement related to the 2nd part of PR#16885 https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16885 about complex NA's. The (somewhat rare) incompatibility in R's 3.3.0 match() behavior for the case of complex numbers with NA & NaN's {which has been fixed for R 3.3.0 patched in the mean time} triggered some more comprehensive "research". I

complex NA's match(), etc: not back-compatible change proposal
That, for example, complex(real=NaN) and complex(imaginary=NaN) are regarded as equal makes it possible that length(unique(as.character(x))) > length(unique(x)) (current code of function 'factor' doesn't expect it). Yes, an argument for the behavior is that NA and NaN are of one kind. On my system, using 32-bit R for Windows from binary from CRAN, the result of sapply(z, match,

mixed effects model and r-squared
Heya I am fitting linear mixed effects model in R and want to assess the model fit (with Animal number as random factor; repeated measures for Animals): ts.model <- lme(LOG_FOC_MW ~ R_DN_SUM + ANIMAL + SEX+ YY, data = t.data, random = ~ 1 | ANIMAL, correlation=corCAR1(0.2, form = ~1 | ANIMAL ), method='ML', na.action=na.omit)). Is there a possability to easly compute an

complex NA's match(), etc: not back-compatible change proposal
On 'factor', I meant the case where 'levels' is not specified, where 'unique' is called. > factor(c(complex(real=NaN), complex(imaginary=NaN))) [1] NaN+0i <NA> Levels: NaN+0i Look at <NA> in the result above. Yes, it happens in earlier versions of R, too. On matching both NA and NaN, another consequence is that length(unique(.)) may depend on order.

complex NA's match(), etc: not back-compatible change proposal
With 'z' of length 8 below, or of length 12 previously, one may try sapply(rev(z), match, table = rev(z)) match(rev(z), rev(z)) I found that the two results were different in R devel r70604. A shorter one: > z <- complex(real = c(0,NaN,NaN), imaginary = c(NA,NA,0)) > sapply(z, match, table = z) [1] 1 1 2 > match(z, z) [1] 1 1 3 An explanation of the behavior: With normal

[PATCH server] Updated look and feel for empty grid views
When empty grids are shown (ex: no VMs in this pool) a specific graphic, message and improved action button are shown. For Task views, the user will see the current filter and an explanation that no tasks match that filter. Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
