Problem with R interface termination
Dear Sir,
The R interface that i am currently using is R 2.4.1( in Win XP). I am not able to terminate the program by giving the q() command. Each time I pass this command,

Request regarding cluster package
Dear Mr. Bengtsson,
I see that there is a package exclusively for clustering data, named as "Cluster Package" in R library. It has some clustering algorithms implemented.
Can you tell me how to implement the CLARA and PAM functions from that package for my data?

Rattle: A simple R/Gnome GUI for Data Mining
An oft heard issue with R is the learning curve. Yet R is a very
powerful language for data mining, if only one persists with it.
Attempting to provide a fast track for anyone to learning R through a
GUI, without limiting the user to just the GUI, I've pulled together
some basic R functionality for "typical" data mining into a GUI
written in R using RGtk2 (need the RGtk2 package

Odd tcltk and Rattle interference on MS/Windows
Hi Graham,
Your guess is right. The event loop stuff is handled differently on Windows
than on Unix-like OSes. There is a hook, called tcl_do that is hard-coded
into the R Windows GUI. It is called whenever the console is idle. RGtk2 is
able to hook into that to process GTK+ events. The problem is that the two
packages replace each other's handler. So in this case tcltk is blocking

Does R implement DBSCAN , ROCK, BIRCH?
I saw that R language has a cluster package which has in built PAM, CLARA and Kmeans (and many more) Clustering Algorithms.
But, I couldnot find DBSCAN, ROCK, BIRCH algorithms (which I feel are standard ones). Aren't these implemented as well?

Problem Installing/Uninstalling Rattle
Rattle won't install properly on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop.
Here is what I've tried:
I've followed the instructions here:
http://rattle.togaware.com/rattle-install-mswindows.html
I had R installed already.
I downloaded the GTK+ packages, unzipped the 32 bit one into c:\gtkwin32.
I put c:\gtkwin32\bin in the system variables PATH.
I launched R, installed the rattle package, called
