Key titles in Lattice
Hi,
I'm creating some lattice plots that have a key and I'd like to put a
label on the key. The problem is that the text label for the key
prevents the values of the group variables from being shown (see example
below). I don't think that this is a feature, but I might be abusing the
title arg for key.
I'm using R Version 2.3.0 (2006-04-24) on Windows XP and lattice V0.13-8

Reorder the x-axis using lattice
Dear list,
Is there a way to reorder the xaxis using lattice. Using the following data, the x-axis is ordered as BP GH MH PF RE RP SF VT but I would like the x-axis to be ordered as PF RP BP GH VT SF RE MH.

Customised legend in lattice
Hi List,
Am trying to customize a legend in trellis: Draws 2x5 lines in 5 colors and
2 linetypes. I would like to add two more items to the legend showing the
key for the line types above the colored legend.
Any suggestions welcome - thanks Herry

custom panel help in lattice
Hi,
I am having an issue with a custom panel for lattice. The problem
comes when I try passing a groups argument.
Here is the custom panel, a wrapper for smooth spline. I copied
panel.loess and replaced the loess arguments with smooth.spline().
[Note: I would like to use the cross-validation fitting properties of
smooth.spline.]

Change the color and lines of the legend using bwplot
Dear list,
I have following plot, where I have set the color (red and green) and lines (lty=2:3) in the panel.groups but can't not figure out how change the lines and color of the legend in the "key" to the same lines and color as in the panel.groups.

ow to apply a panel function to each of several data series plotted on the same graph in lattice
Hi
is it possible to fit a trend line (or some other panel function) through each of multiple data series plotted on the same graph? Specifically, while one can do something like
xyplot(a+b+c~x)
which plots three series, a,b & c, but can one automatically fit lines through each of them?
I suppose one could generate three more variables afit, bfit, and cfit with a model & predict and

lattice: customising panel.segments using groups
Hi,
I want to customise the segments on an xyplot. Below is a simple example
of what I'm trying to do...

gp <- c("A", "I", "C")

how to modify the tickment of x-axis
hi
I plot a series of observation data every minutes in a day as the
attachment below
plot(wnd,type='l',lty=1,col='red',lwd=1,xlab=xxlab,ylab=yylab,ylim=YY)
In the figure, the x-axis tickment is the number of data How can I change
it
fore example 1h 2h 3h 4h and so on ?

Thanks. It made sense indeed: enough to discover the panel.linejoin function which does what I was looking for.

panel.linejoin groups
Dear R community,
I am still new to R, but I am attempting to use it for (hopefully) all
my plotting needs. I have been using lattice and Hmisc for most plots
so far successfully, but I need help creating a plot I desire for some
new data I have.
This data frame consists of the same type of measurement (Eh) for 27
different locations. I have 8000+ measurements for each location, and

strange PREDICTIONS from a PIECEWISE LINEAR (mixed) MODEL

When I introduce an interaciton in a piecewise model I obtain some quite
unusual results.
If that would't take u such a problem I'd really appreciate an advise from
you.
I've reproduced an example below...
Many thanks
x<-rnorm(1000)
y<-exp(-x)+rnorm(1000)

lattice - change background strip color in one panel
Hello,
I would like to change the background color in only -one- of the strips in a
multipanel lattice xyplot, from the default yellow-brown color.
Until now, I only managed to change the background strip color in all of the
strips using the par.settings, but I do not get it to work for only 1 strip.
Below is the current code I am using.
The resulting plot is here:

density(myd1)$y), type = "n")

errorbar il lattice plot
Hi Everyone,
I would like to add errorbars to a lattice plot. I already have a function that
adds error bars to a plot (originally written by George Gilchrist) which takes
as arguments the coordinates of the point and then the size of the error bar. I
would like to integrate it in my lattice code but I seem to be stumped.
I can put the error bar function inside my code as if it were a panel

which is just what I want--except I would like the axis titles and labels to be proportionately larger than the ternary graph itself, for legibility in publication. When I

key=simpleKey(statselect, lines=T))
However, I want lines not scatterplots and if I set
panel.groups=panel.linejoin that connects the lines according to the
relmse and not according the consecutive values of T. Is there
