configure help
Hello, as I just spent a (too long) while searching for a way how to persistantly switch back the help display routines from chm to text, here a small documentation how to do that with the windows version of R. The windows installer asks which help type you want to use, I wanted to test the chm version -- which I didn't like. If you after installation want to switch back, you have to edit

Documenting a function: How to get the comments in a function similar to args()
Hi All, Imagine that we have a function defined as follows: foo <- # comments line 1 # comments line 2 # etc.. function(x){ x <- 2 } I can use args(foo) to get the arguments for foo. Is there any function to get the comment lines at the beginning of the function? >From what I understand the prompt() function allows one to create a .Rd file which can be compiled but I am not there yet.

writing R extension
I'd like to develop a simple library in R in which to save my particular functions. I have read the manual on "Writing R Extensions" but it's too difficult. Someone could help me? I want only save my personal function (recorded in R-code, not in C) in "myLibrary" and I want to call it with: >library (myLibrary). After this, the functions should be available

Mac Pckg
Hi, do someone knows how to install contributed packages under Mac OS classic. When I download one, expand, and copy the folder under "library", R says: 'Package X contains no R code in'library(X)'. thanks --------------------- Patrick Gonin Responsable D?partement Evaluation in vivo GENETHON III- CNRS URA 1923 1 bis, rue de l'Internationale BP 60 91002 EVRY CEDEX

grid.image(), pckg grid
While I am very happy with and awed by the grid package and its basic plotting primitives such as grid.points, grid.lines, etc, I was wondering whether the equivalent of a grid.image() function exists ? Any pointer would be helpful. Thanks ! Markus [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

How to create own distance measure in cluster ?
Hi everyone, I want to create my own distance measure, other than 'euclidean' or 'manhatan', to use in cluster pckgs. To do this I think that I need to change dist(), in mva pckg, or daisy(), in cluster pckg. (or is there a cleaver way ?) But this functions are in fact things like: .Fortran( "daisy", ... ) or .C("dist",...). I tried unsuccessfully to find

[LLVMdev] Vectorization factor limitation in Loop Vectorizer
So IMO, if we modify the VF calculation for targets/subtargets using TTI where higher VF is supported The vectorizer’s scope will become wider. Did/do you foresee any issue with this? Thanks, Shahid From: Nadav Rotem [mailto:nrotem at apple.com] Sent: Saturday, December 13, 2014 2:47 AM To: Shahid, Asghar-ahmad Cc: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] Vectorization factor limitation in

[LLVMdev] Migrate Project Build system to LLVM BitCode
Hi All, I am migrating a build system of an existing project from 'Object files' based executable generation to 'LLVM Bitcode' files based exe generation and applying OPT pass to LLVM Bitcode. I found out the following 4 step procedure. Please let me know if this is the right procedure or is there any other easy way of doing it. I need to modify 'Makefile' accordingly. I

Generating MVN Data
Dear All I want to generate multivariate normal data in R for a given covariance matrix, i.e. my generated data must have the given covariance matrix. I know the rmvnorm command is to be used but may be I am failing to properly assign the covariance matrix. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks. M. R. Ahmad

Systemfit with structural equations and cross equation parameter interaction
Hi there, I want to estimate simultaneous equation model with panel data. The model looks as follows Y1=a0+a1*X1+a2*X2 Y2=b0+b1*X2+b2*X1 X1=Z1-(Y1/a1) X2=Z2-(Y2/b1) I In this model Y1, Y2, X1 and X2 are endogenous variables; Z1, Z2 are exogenous variables and a0, a1, a2, b0, b1 and b2 are parameters. Could any one please help me how to estimate this model in R. Thanking you in anticipation

Locfit
Dear, I am doing some statistics analysis using R software. I am currently trying to implement your library locfit. I am using Win NT and R1.1.1 version obtained on the following Webmaster : http://cm.bell-labs.com/cm/ms/departments/sia/project/locfit/index.html When trying to run it, the following message appears: ********** Error in .C("guessnv", nvm = integer(1), ncm =

[LLVMdev] Load value and broadcast in LLVM
Hi Shahid, Thank you so much for your response. You suggested approach is what I am right now using. However, it seems that the overhead is a little bit high because we are introducing two more instructions. I was wondering if there was a cheaper way to do it. [LLVMdev] [RFC][PATCH] Adding absd/hadd/sad intrinsics
Hi Asghar-Ahmed, I saw your last ping - sorry, I'm away on vacation and back on Wednesday. Generally, I'm not sure that having both absd/hadd and sad are compatible with the discussions going on in other threads, for example my thread about min and max. Given that those two intrinsics are fairly trivial to match , I don't see the need to have two different canonical forms. James On

Convert Register Names to String
Hi Tim, Thanks for the nice answer. The code that you mentioned, seems to generate the IR. You mean I should reuse the code to extract and output the register names in a file. Next, I should postprocess the file in my own pass? Regards. [LLVMdev] Utility function to identify user defined function
Hi, I would like to ask if LLVM provides a utility function like 'isMallocCall' to check if the 'call' instruction is calling some 'foo' user defined function? If there is no such utility function then I am thinking to do this in the following way: bool testFoo(CallInst *CI) { Function *Callee = CI->getCalledFunction(); if (Callee->getName() == "foo")

Error Calling eraseFromParent()
LLVM is built in Release mode. The version is 6.0.0. I think that a similar code worked on verison 3.9.0. It is probably a null pointer dereference occurring in eraseFromParent(). I checked and reconfirmed that the instruction had no uses. Perhaps I should rebuild LLVM. Thanks. On Wed, Aug 8, 2018 at 9:03 PM, mayuyu.io <admin at mayuyu.io> wrote: > Hmmmm that’s strange.
