calling java API from ruby
ok, i want to be able to send some data from my rails app to a CRM. The library that defines the API for talking to the CRM is written in java. I got JRuby working, which is pretty cool, but to my understanding i would have to convert my ruby on rails app to a jruby on rails app which, as far as i''ve understood, is different deal altogether and would be set up more like a java server

seleniumrc_fu initial test issue
I have the seleniumrc_fu plugin installed and setup according to the instructions, and can run the selenium:test task if there are no test cases. My first test case simply does an open_home_page to verify that things are working at all. Unfortuniately there seems to be an issue with even this simple a test case. The following suggests that there is an issue with the getNewBrowserSession

iplots
Hi guys, I am trying to plot a scatterplot with lines instead of with points using function iplot in library iplots. The best I can come up with is x =(1:100) y = rnorm(100) iplot(x,y,ptDiam=0) ilines(x,y) Do you guys know of any paramter to set the "type" in iplot or iplot.opt? Thanks, Fernando ?lvarez

Console to RHEL6.1 container
We are trying to create RHEL6.1 container and having trouble getting a proper console to the container. I have used lxc containers in the past and lxc has a script (lxc-fedora) to setup a basic Fedora container. Is there something similar or docs with virtmgr ? We started out making a copy of the root fs and using that copy as the root for the container. I made a couple of tweaks to the

How to create a string containing '\/' to be used with SED?
Hi guys, I've been struggling to find a solution to the following issue: I need to change strings in .ini files that are given in input to a program whose output is processed by R. The strings to be changed looks like: "instance = /home/TSPFiles/TSPLIB/berlin52.tsp" I normally use Sed for this kind of things. So, inside R I'd like to write something like: command <-

file.copy
Hello, Here is something (file.copy) trivial but does not seem to work. I could not figure out what I am doing wrong. The R script below creates folders (fromFolder and toFolder) and finds the list of files (list.of.files) to be copied to the toFolder, which I have verified using the print () command. But, the issue is that the file.copy() command does not work. Both the R.script and the

query labels in iplot() (or other interactive scatterplot)
By Ctr-moving the cursor over a point in an iplot() scatterplot (package iplots) it is possible to check the exact x,y coordinates of a given point. Is it possible to check a text label for that point as well? (i.e., the same info that would get printed on the graphic using text(x,y, labels=v) or with identify(x,y,labels), but I do not want to get the labels permanently plotted on the graphic)

create an object from a string?
I''m trying to dynamically create an instance of an object at runtime, from a String. I have a method that returns one of a number of Strings ("Car", "Motorcycle", "Bicycle"), and when I receive the String, I then want to instantiate one of those objects. Seems like there should be a way to do it in Ruby, but maybe I''ve been up too long --

Re: virsh -c xen:/// list: = Connection refused, Set up Xen 3.4.2 & Libvirt 0.6.1 on top of Ubuntu 9.04 Server
Following your suggestions (except 1) :- 1. Made direct port Xen 3.4.2 to Ubuntu Jaunty Server & applied ext4 patch for pygrub from Mark Johnson (MRJ) 2. Edited xend-config.sxp (xend-http-server yes) # service xend restart # ln -s /usr/local/bin/pygrub /usr/lib/xen-default/bin/pygrub # apt-get install virt-manager libvirt-bin kvm # export VIRSH_DEFAULT_CONNECT_URI="xen:///" #

Reference Classes: Generalizing Reference Class Generator objects?
Is it possible to override the $new(...) in the reference class generator? I have tried adding a "new" method to the methods of the class, but that is obviously not correct. I have also tried adding it to the class generator, but the class generator still uses the default constructor. As a simple example, this is the current interface: TestClass <- setRefClass

[LLVMdev] vmkit java annotations
Hello everyone, I am able to work very well with annotations in C/C++, by using __attribute__((annotate("MYANNOTATION"))) static int a; . Inside the LLVM bytecode I have @llvm.global.annotations and @llvm.var.annotation. However, I was trying to test annotations also in Java, with VMKit. These are the commands that I run: javac -Xlint -g -O Main.java ../Release+Asserts/bin/vmjc Main

[LLVMdev] vmkit java annotations
Hello Alexandru, No you did nothing wrong. We are using our own data structure to describe annotations in J3. So it is normal that you can not see your Java annotations inside the LLVM bytecode produced. If I remember well, our implementation of annotations do not rely on LLVM annotations.
