Recovering data from disk with loose cable
We have a disk array behind two external SATA port multipliers (four
disks on each multiplier) which has been running btrfs (RAID 1 for
both data and metadata). Unfortunately, earlier today it seems one of
the SATA cables came loose, resulting in the kernel (2.6.37)
eventually OOPSing although apparently not before writing quite a bit
of data. Upon reboot, I was met with the dreaded,

Stuck on MySQL UPDATE
What I'm retrying to do is update mysql field with the new message ID
that was just recorded. Ideally, I'd like to specify
the field to update using a variable ${BINID} and use ${NEWPHRASENAME}
for the value - I'm not sure asterisk will allow
using a variable for the field name and if not, I'll attempt to create
an exten for each bin to update.
Here the method I'd like to

bug in 1.0RC2?
Hello,
I have a small problem with dovecot 1.0RC2. This didn't happen with
former versions. There are imap processes that are left open a long
while after the client disconnected. I am running dovecot on OpenBSD
3.8. Below is the output of a process list. As you can see, there are
many imap processes for the same login running.

With a current version of Dovecot a search is pretty fast _without_ using external indexes. I have a view defined (virtual plugin) with around 22.000 messages in it, and searching the full view only takes 2.5

Subtracting POSIXct data/times
I have two dataframe columns of POXIXct data/times that include seconds.
I got them into this format using for example
zsort$ETA <- as.POSIXct(as.character(zsort$ETA), format="%m/%d/%Y %H:%M:%S")
My problem is that when I subtract the two columns, sometimes the
difference is given in seconds, and sometimes it is given in minutes. I
don't care which it is, but I need to know which

Huge write amplification with thin provisioned logical volumes
Hi,
I've noticed huge write amplification problem with thinly provisioned
logical volumes and I wondered if anyone can explain why it happens and if
and how can be fixed. The behavior is the same on Centos 6.8 and Centos
7.2.
I have a NVME card (Intel DC P3600 -2 TB) on which I create a thinly
provisioned logical volume:

Unable to disable beeper on Powercom Imperial IMP-525AP [SOLVED]
Hi Arnaud,
I received several replies from technical support.
It turned out that according to the UPS serial number it had been
manufactured in 2012. So, the device should support the ability to disable
the beeper.
But still I can not disable the beeper using the latest version of UPSMON
Plus in Windows:

run optim() on a list
Hi,
I am at the end of my wit to figure out how to run the optim function on
a list.
Basically, I have a data set of three columns as "Site", "Pool" and
"Positivity" ( the full data set is copied at the end). I want to run
the maximal likelihood estimation separately on subsets split by "Site"

CallerID Number incorrect in SIP packet
I am having an issue with the CallerID Number not being passed to my
phone in the SIP packet. The CallerID Name is passed just fine and
displayed on the phone with no issue. I have done a NoOp() in my
extension.conf and successfully seen both the CallerID name and number
correctly. So that leads me to believe that Asterisk is handeling it
correctly. However, when I do a packet capture of the
