Table Figures and Listings
Dear All,
I am fairly new to R. I work mainly in SAS. Now, I know that SAS is approved
by the FDA for submissions. My question is, does the FDA approve {R} for
clinical trial submissions. Also has anyone ever tried to produce TFL's using
R. I would like to know how difficult it to produce the TFL's in R as compared
to SAS. I know that in SAS it is not difficult once you know

Problem installing source packages on OS X
I am attempting to install the Hmisc, rreport and Design packages, but
am not able to do so. I am running R v1.9.1 on Mac OS 10.3.5.
I have tried installation using both the GUI version of R and also
running R from sudo in a terminal session. In the terminal I receive the
following error:

libata and PMP (Port Multiplier) support in CentOS
I'm looking at buying a NORCO DS-1220 and it comes with a NORCO 4618
PCI-X card (4 port eSATA, with a port multiplier on the card or the
chassis). I've been trying to pin down whether or not CentOS will see
all 12 drives, and I haven't seen anything that is definitive. I see
that the kernel module sata_sil24 supports the SiI3124 chip on the NORCO
4618 card, but I haven't found

ISDN (point to point) questions
Hello;
we are looking to replace our current PBX with a *-box; it is
connected to ONE ppp isdn connection that is terminated by the NC. We
got on this box 4 msn's configured.
currently we are working with pstn fxo's behind the PBX; it works but
we can't use the CSID information behind it. We want to migrate and
keep the MSN's to decide routing in combination with the CID.

[LLVMdev] Seg faulting on vector ops
Hola LLVMers,
I'm looking to make use of the vectorization primitives in the Intel
chip with the code we generate from LLVM and so I've started
experimenting with it. What is the state of the machine code generated
for vectors? In my tinkering, I seem to be getting some wonky machine
instructions, but I'm most likely just doing something wrong and I'm
hoping you can set me in

Simplest OS possible?
What is the simplest OS I can install in Xen, preferably Linux based, and
don''t tell me MS-DOS :). I have installed a minimal version of Fedora, but I
want something that is even less cluttered.
I have looked at Minix, but it is not fully supported. I need something
small, lightweight (doesn''t have to be multi-threaded or anything), that
will run small C and Assembler programs

[LLVMdev] Seg faulting on vector ops
Hrm. This problem shouldn't be target specific. I am pretty sure
prologue / epilogue inserter aligns stack correctly if there are
stack objects with greater than default stack alignment requirement.
Seems to be the initial alloca() instruction should specify 16 byte
alignment?

Using missing() in a S4 method with extra arguments
Hi all,
I have a function which makes use of missing() to determine which
arguments are provided in the call - basically, there are two sets of
arguments that map to different strategies the function uses to fulfill
its task. After conversion to an S4 generic I've run into the problem
that if a method uses extra arguments that are not in the signature of
the generic, usage of missing()

Any experience with eSATA and port multiplier...?
Hey,
just bought an eSATA/USB dual drive docking station and my CentOS 5 can only see one drive at a time...
Any one knows if there are specific parameters to set somewhere?
Or do I need a more recent kernel (like upgrading to CentOS 6?)
The docking is a Sharkoon Quickport Duo v2 + 2 drives + 1 eSATA cable...

Using accrualReport.s in Hmisc/Design
Hello,
I apologize for the post if this is not the appropriate place. I have
searched the R List archives and the Vanderbilt.edu website, but am not
able to understand how to use the accrualReport.s and associated scripts
available at the Vanderbilt site. It must be very simple, but I am at a
loss for ideas. Any suggestions or pointers in the direction of
examples?
thanks very much.
