Fill in empty spaces modified
Hi All? I was looking at a posting from June-17. I managed to solve it. However, when I changed the example in the posting, my solution will work only once at a time which was mentioned by Jim Lemon on his response to the original posting. This means that my solution will have to be repeated as many times as the maximum number of spaces on each gap; something that may not work well for large

x86: PIE support and option to extend KASLR randomization
These patches make the changes necessary to build the kernel as Position Independent Executable (PIE) on x86_64. A PIE kernel can be relocated below the top 2G of the virtual address space. It allows to optionally extend the KASLR randomization range from 1G to 3G. Thanks a lot to Ard Biesheuvel & Kees Cook on their feedback on compiler changes, PIE support and KASLR in general. Thanks to

Dealing with R list objects in C/C++
Hi, I'd like to construct an R list object in C++, fill it with relevant data, and pass it to an R function which will return a different list object back. I have browsed through all the R manuals, and examples under tests/Embedding, but can't figure out the correct way. Below is my code snippet: #include <Rinternals.h> // Rf_initEmbeddedR and other setups already performed

can't get rcmd to work on windows2k....
I'm trying to make sure my R package will install properly (build help files, etc) and when I try to run the rcmd check (or any rcmd option) I get the following error. Does dcf.pm stand for perl module? If not, why do I get this message? C:\systemfit\r_code>rcmd check --help Can't locate R/Dcf.pm in @INC (@INC contains: c \PROGRA~1\r\rw1041\share\perl; /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/cygwin-multi

[PATCH v3 21/27] x86/ftrace: Adapt function tracing for PIE support
When using -fPIE/PIC with function tracing, the compiler generates a call through the GOT (call *__fentry__ at GOTPCREL). This instruction takes 6 bytes instead of 5 on the usual relative call. If PIE is enabled, replace the 6th byte of the GOT call by a 1-byte nop so ftrace can handle the previous 5-bytes as before. Position Independent Executable (PIE) support will allow to extended the KASLR

PHP Questions on move from CentOS 5.x to CentOS 6.x
Greetings, A malfunctioning disk this past week accelerated a lingering decision to move to CentOS 6.x from CentOS 5.x. Most of our content is functioning and being presented as it should be. However, there appear to be php-related issues. Basic squirrelmail (a php-dependent package) works correctly. However, drupal, and other php-dependent parts that call postgresql and mysql databases of

yaxp problem for more irregular time series in one plot
Good day, I'm trying to get more time series in one plot. As there are bigger differences in values of variables I need logaritmic y axis. The code I use is the following: nvz_3_data <- read.csv('/home/tomas/R_outputs/nvz_3.csv') date <- (nvz_3_data$date) NO3 <- (nvz_3_data$NO3) NH4 <- (nvz_3_data$NH4) date_p <- as.POSIXct(date, "CET") par(mfrow=c(2,1), ylog

[PATCH v1 00/27] x86: PIE support and option to extend KASLR randomization
Changes: - patch v1: - Simplify ftrace implementation. - Use gcc mstack-protector-guard-reg=%gs with PIE when possible. - rfc v3: - Use --emit-relocs instead of -pie to reduce dynamic relocation space on mapped memory. It also simplifies the relocation process. - Move the start the module section next to the kernel. Remove the need for -mcmodel=large on modules. Extends
