[PATCH RFC] Btrfs: improve multi-thread buffer read
While testing with my buffer read fio jobs[1], I find that btrfs does not
perform well enough.
Here is a scenario in fio jobs:
We have 4 threads, "t1 t2 t3 t4", starting to buffer read a same file,
and all of them will race on add_to_page_cache_lru(), and if one thread
successfully puts its page into the page cache, it takes the responsibility
to read the page''s data.

Relationships... not the personal kind!
Hello all,
I''m very new to Rails and I love it so far. However, there are some
things that aren''t so clear to me.
Let''s say a blog post can have many comments, and a comment can only
belong to one post. A user can have many posts and many comments as
well. (this part makes perfect sense):
class Comment < ActiveRecord::Base

Site Navigation With Polymorphic Has Many Through
Hi, seem to keep running into a wall here. I can''t find any resources on
site navigation that can deal with any model being in the nav, allow
nesting, and can dynamically update.
So I thought about it for a while, and decided on a MenuItems class, which
contained the position of the child in relation to it''s siblings, where the
parent and the child were polymorphic. Then a given

To pause each screen text using syslinux
Hello syslinux,
I am trying to add a page break in the license file. Could you help me to add a
page break in the text file? I tried "^L" in every 25 lines but it didn't work.
What I want to do is this. In the boot prompt, I want to display the license
file by pressing F2 but the file is about 300 lines so it just scrolls up very
quickly. Do you have any idea how to pause in each

How might I use file_column for incoming email attachments?
I''m writing a ''Mailman'' model that catches emails sent to my
application (kind of like backpack, I think). The trouble is that
I''d like to save image attachments in the same was that file_column
saves them--in fact, I''d really like to use a simple assignment like
photo.image = attachment to save the image in its proper place.
However,

ColumnComments Plugin
Here?s a small plugin that may be useful for documenting your
database. Based on Dave Thomas?s AnnotateModels plugin, this plugin
goes one step further and allows you to store comments on each column
in the database (MySQL only).

"bundled_resource" which is a plugin that makes our lives *much*
easier when we need to use javascripts, stylesheets and images in
conjunction with one another to deliver a special effect or tool on
the client (browser) side. If you missed the release, read about it

Whenever a Rails exception occurs, it spits out a backtrace full of
filenames and line numbers. I?ve often thought, ?Wouldn?t it be nice

== What is bundled_resource? ==
If your development is in any way similar to mine, there are a number
of useful resources out there that make web applications shine
beautifully. For example, there?s the Dynarch calendar and the
textarea tools. There are a number of others?too many, in fact. The
problem is that as a web developer,

MASC = A New Way to Use Textmate Snippets
Just thought I''d announce this on the Rails list since I know several
of you use Textmate: there''s a new feature I''m calling "Multiple
Arbitrary Simultaneous Carets" or MASC for short, which is available
in my personal TM bundle. It''s been handy enough for me that I
thought others might enjoy it.
