fractional factorial design in R
Hi, i need to create a fractional factorial design sufficient to estimate the main effects. The factors may have any number of levels, let's say any number from 2 to 6. I've tried to use the library conf.design , but i cannot figure out how to write the code. For example, what is the code for a design with 5 factors (2x3x3x5x2) and only main effects not confounded? thanks in advance!

Hi everybody, let us assume i have the following matrixX and vectorY matrixX <- runif(100) dim(matrixX) <- c(10,10) vectorY <- as.matrix(as.character(seq(1,10))) if I define: subsample<-c("2") i can extract the rows from matriX based on the elements in vectorY which are listed in subsample matrixX[vectorY==subsample] if I define subsample with more than 1 element, such

Gale-Shapley Algorithm for R
Dear R-helpers, I'm not a speciallist in writing complex functions, and the function still very rusty (any kind of suggestions are very welcome). I want to implement Gale-Shapley algorithm for R Language. It is based on http://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/2312726 Gale and Shapley (1962) , and it has evolved to

R, Shapley Values and TURF
Hi, I'm looking for any information on calculating and using Shapley Values in a TURF context. A paper was presented at an S-Plus conference about this: Conklin M., Lipovetsky S. Updating packages for R 2.6.0
Since this has come up already: It is a good idea to re-install all packages for a minor-version increment of R, e.g. 2.5.1 -> 2.6.0 (it is major.minor.patchlevel). This is most easily done by > update.packages(checkBuilt=TRUE, ask=FALSE) However, if you don't want to do that yet, be aware that - Certain S4-using packages must be reinstalled, and using old versions can make R

S4 classes in existing packages
R-devel, I'm interested in looking at some examples of existing R packages that rely heavily on S4 classes to get a feel for varying styles and package organization techniques. Could you recommend any packages that might serve as a good starting point? Thanks in advance, Jeff
