Combine related plots
Dear R users, If I have to combine plots which have the same independent and dependent variables in one graph. Which command should I use? Any example? Can I use "panel"? Your help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks! -Vivien Chen- [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Error in integrate
Hi! I am a beginner of R. I am trying to calculate integrate and draw a graph of the output, but just kept on getting error messages. I list my program and error message below. Please help. Many Thanks! ======================= + > a<--11 > b<-0.1 > c<-0.012 > x<-0:110 > t<-0:15 > integrand<-function(x) {exp(-exp(a-c*t)*(exp(b*x)-exp(c*x))/(b-c))} >

correlating between two vectors of numbers
Hi, R! Question1: I am trying to correlate two vectors of numbers (two columns of microarray signal values) by using the non-parametric Spearman's rank correlation coefficient rho: > cor.test(V2.Signal,V3.Signal,method="spearman") but I get the error message: Error in if (q > (n^3 - n)/6) pspearman(q - 1, n, lower.tail = FALSE) else pspearman(q, : missing value

Generate a serie of new vars that correlate with existingvar
Hello, list why not add the smart proposal by Greg Snow as a built-in function in {stats}, just changing the "x234" and "newc" lines to allow for more distributions to be generated ? Or do I miss an already existing function to do that ? Regards. Olivier # slight modification of the original code by Greg Snow [mailto:Greg.Snow at intermountainmail.org] # on April 04, 2007

[llvm-pdbutil] : merge not working properly
Ok I understand more what you meant. In fact I don’t care about the pdb size, at least as a first step, so it won’t be a problem for me to have duplicated symbols. Concerning TypeIndices my plan if possible is not to generate a pdb for my jit and merge it, but instead directly extract debug info from a DwarfContext just after llvm::object::ObjectFile is emitted by the JIT engine and complete the

[llvm-pdbutil] : merge not working properly
Hi Zachary ! If there a way to easily create a new PDBFileBuilder from an existing PDBFile or can/should I do the translation myself ? I would like to start from a builder filled with the EXE PDB data and then complete its DBI stream with the JIT module/symbols. Thanks ! Axes intercept
I have a plot where the values of the y axis go from a positive number to a negative number and I want the x axis to intercept at zero rather than at the bottom of the y axis, regardless of its value. Can anyone help me to do this? Thanks in advance Vivien Vivien Kent MSc Oxon PhD candidate Evolutionary Anthropology Research Group Department of Anthropology Durham University Dawson

In need of help with correlations
I am in need of someone's help in correlating gene expression. I'm somewhat new to R, and can't seem to find anyone local to help me with what I think is a simple problem. I need to obtain pearson and spearman correlation coefficients, and corresponding p-values for all of the genes in my dataset that correlate to one specific gene of interest. I'm working with mouse Affymetrix

Creating a correlation Matrix
Hi all: I have a question on how to go about creating a correlation matrix. I have a huge amount of data....21 variables for 3471 times. I want to see how each of the variables correlate to each other. Any help would be appreciated, including which package and which functions I should use to do this. Thanks, Jessica Higgs Masters Student Department of Meteorology Penn State University

Where to find the p-value of a correlation test
Hey everyone, I hope this finds you in good cheer. I just have a quick question: What is the function that outputs the p-value for correlation? cor(x,y) only provides the R value. I would like the p-value associated with it. Thank you all for your help! [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

[llvm-pdbutil] : merge not working properly
(Yes you are right this is my fault) Considering the string table, it only seems to contains file relative informations in every pdb I am using, and it looks correct but I will check it. I looked at the pdb.cpp code about checksums and tables, I copied some stuff and got things wrong according to cvdump, then I simplified the process of copying the table and it worked (in cvdump it finds the file

[IR][AsmPrinter][MCJIT]: ensure every x64 "CALL" to Jit function uses relative address
Hi Lang, That would be great ! :) For now I found a hack which consist of loading a "full of NOP" DLL, use my own DllMemMgr which allocates JIT sections inside the DLL virtual space, backup the memory inside some buffers, unload the DLL, copy the buffer inside the DLL file, create the PDB, reload the DLL file which hopefully in 99% is reloaded at the same virtual address (this allow me

correlation
Dear list I would like to compare two measurements of disease severity (M1 and M2), one of the is continuous (M1 ranging from 1 to 10) and the other is ordinal (M2 takes Low, Medium, high and very high). Do you think is ok to use cor() function to test whether the two agree, i.e correlate? I am afraid that if I set M2 to 1,2,3 and 4, the function cor() will take them as continuous and

[PDB] [JIT] Write to PDB file when COFFObjectFile is emitted by JIT
I'm sorry but I don't think I understand the question. But if you can't produce a pdb using MSVC, it is hard to imagine that only lld can do, unless MSVC linker has a bug. [llvm-pdbutil] : merge not working properly
Hello Zachary, Sorry for replying so lately but It's been a week I'm thinking an working hard on your "dll memory buffer" idea to see if it works and give you feedbacks ! And it works pretty well until now : I shared on the list what I did : - create a .ASM file full of "int 3" instructions (to ensure that if we execute over the boundaries we instantly break. -

Correlation Matrix - p value?
Hello all, I've run a Spearman's Rank test to discern relationships between landscape characteristics and a specific aspect of river behaviour. I've executed a correlation matrix between the one dependent variable and all of the predictors, which gives me a nice output of Spearman's Rho values. However, I also need to somehow find the "p" value, to assess the strength

Problem: No p-value for a point-baserial correlation with R
Dear community I'm pretty new to R and I'm trying to do a Point-baserial correlation for a nominal dichotomous variable with a interval scaled variable. It works fine, but the output just shows me the correlation and nothing else (p-Value would be important). I tried it with the following codes: - biseral.cor() - cor.biseral() - I also tried a polyserial() I've found on this

[llvm-pdbutil] : merge not working properly
That’s a good question, by default when emitting the object file I choose COFF but it embeds dwarf and not codeview in the end.. there probably is a way to do it or at least it must be implemented if not yet.. Lets imagine I manage to do that.. when you say there is nothing to do, I still must have a PDBFileBuilder to copy the codeview data inside the EXE PDB right ? I cannot insert them easily in
