I have following two functions (part):

how to overlook the zero in the denominator
Dear R users:
I have two set of data, as follow:
x<-c(0,0,0.28,0.55,1.2,2,1.95,1.85,
1.6,0.86,0.78,0.6,0.21,0.18)
y<-c(0,0,0,0.53,1.34,1.79,2.07,1.88,
1.52,0.92,0.71,0.55,0.32,0.19)
i<-1:length(x)
I want to sum each (x[i]-y[i])^2/x[i] together,
like:
>Sum <-sum((x[i]-y[i])^2/x[i])
>Sum
[1] NaN
Because the denominator shoud not be zero.
So I want to overlook those

Extract data from edit chart
Dear R users:
I wonder if it is possible to use
"data.frame" and "edit" to show the
form like:
parameter upper lower
A
B
C
when I type the command edit(abc), assume
the data.frame named "abc". And then I want to
extract the number form it, like abc[1,2]
which mean the upper level of A, to do something.
The following is my example and the warning

Michaelis-menten equation
Dear R users:
I encountered difficulties in michaelis-menten equation. I found
that when I use right model definiens, I got wrong Km vlaue,
and I got right Km value when i use wrong model definiens.
The value of Vd and Vmax are correct in these two models.

Here is the program: matrix.c

losing line of mtext when saving to png format
I have a simple graph (oode below) which looks fine on the screen but when
I save it in png format the title (actually the last mtext line) is cut off.
I am pretty sure that I am doing something very stupid but
other than playing around with the png height and width commands which don't seem to help I have no idea of what to look for.
Any suggestions or cures would be appreciated.
Thanks

Wbinfo -Y couldn't work with idmap_rid for BUILTIN groups
Hi,
wbinfo -Y BUILTIN\group can work without idmap_rid in Samba-3.0.14a. But
I'm experiencing wbinfo -Y with idmap_rid failed for SID to GID
conversion of BUILTIN groups.
Since idmap_rid only works in a single domain, and captures workgroup's
domain sid as a real domain sid in rid_idmap_get_domains(), when running
"wbinfo -Y BUILTIN/System Operators", the function

How to measure level of similarity of two data frames
Hi group,
I've been thinking of calculating euclidean distance between each column of
a data frames that each consists of standardized numerical columns.
However, I don't know if there's a way of summarizing the overall distance
by some kind of metrics. If anyone know a proper way of doing so and/or a
package I would greatly appreciate your suggestions. Thanks very much!

Entire Organization Switching from SAS to R - Any experience?
My institute has been heavily dependent on SAS for the past while, and
SAS is starting to charge us a very deep amount for license renewal.
Since we are a non-profit organization that is definitely not
sustainable. The team is brainstorming possibility of switching to R,
at least gradually. I am talking about the entire institute with
considerable number of analysts using SAS their entire

data analysis for partial two-by-two factorial design
Dear R users,
I need to analyze data generated from a partial two-by-two factorial design: two levels for drug A (yes, no), two levels for drug B (yes, no); however, data points are available only for three groups, no drugA/no drugB, yes drugA/no drugB, yes drugA/yes drug B, omitting the fourth group of no drugA/yes drugB. I think we can not investigate interaction between drug A and drug B,
