plotting two histograms on one plot with hist function
I would like to plot two data sets (frequency (y-axis) of mean values for 0-1(x=axis)) on a single histogram for comparison. The hist() only allow the overlay of two histograms, and although barplot() allows beside=TRUE, it does not show frequency values (like hist) but rather all of the values. hist - unevenly spaced bars
I am sure this is trivial, but I cannot solve it. I make a histogram. There are 5 categories "1",...,"5" and 80 values and the histogram does not evenly space the bars. Bars "1" and "2" have no space between them and the rest are evenly spaced. How can I get all bars evenly spaced? The code: > Q5 [1] "4" "4" "4"

Why using hist when setting the parameter probability=TRUE does not create probability plot?
Hi All, When carrying out hist(samples,breaks=50,probability=TRUE), the column values are considerably greater than 1, which seams very unreasonable. The plot is attached. I think the column value of the hist plot should correspond to x$counts/sum(x$counts) (x=hist(samples,breaks=50,probability=TRUE)). A quick question, please. x = c(0.0001, 0.0059, 0.0855, 0.9082) y = c(0.54, 0.813, 0.379, 0.35) where A = 1st set, B = 2nd set, C = 3rd set, D = 4th set respectivley. How build hist combining data
I would like to ask if there is some simple way for building a hist from the following data. mm <-c(2,3,0,4,5,0,2,9,0) mmm <- matrix(mm,ncol=3, nrow=3) x <- c(0,1.45,2.9) in mmm there are frequencies (each column is separate histogram and each row corresponds to value of x). So that for the first histogram we have 2 times interval [0,1.45] and 3 times [1.45,2.90]. Thanks a lot!
