pom for 0.5.1
H, I am using libvirt from maven using a nexus proxy pointing to http://www.libvirt.org/maven2/ It downloads the jar fine but is expecting libvirt-0.5.1.pom (and ...sha1). In the proxy only the jar appears. When I download and rename the pom to my local .m2 cache my build works fine. Is this a bug in the distribution of libvirt in its maven repo or is my dependency wrong somehow? Kind regards,

Traffic shaper based on UIDs
Hello! I need assistance to solve my problem related to traffic shaping based on the user ids. The problem: each unix user (of the linux host) has to be limited with incoming channel (internet) bandwidth. I need this to implement internet access solution based on ltsp (http://www.ltsp.org). As far as I know the best way to shape traffic in linux is CBQ. But there is no filter based on unix

TARPIT target in iptables
Has anyone been successful at using the TARPIT target in iptables under CentOS 4? I am using CentOS 4.3, fully updated with iptables-1.2.11-3.1.RHEL4 and kernel-2.6.9-34.107.plus.c4 Doing a locate on TARPIT returns: # locate TARPIT /lib/iptables/libipt_TARPIT.so This makes me think that the TARPIT target would be valid, however when I try to use it, I get the following reponse: # iptables

p-values for the dip test
Hi all, I am using Hartigan & Hartigan's [1] "dip test" of unimodality via the diptest package in R. The function dip() returns the value of the test statistic but I am having problems calculating the p-value associated with that value. I'm hoping someone here is familiar with this process and can explain it. In the original article there is an example using n=63 and a

Any plans for ALTREP lists (VECSXP)?
Hi Kylie, Is it a list with only numerics in it? (I only see REALSXPs there, but obviously inspect isn't showing all of them). If so, you could load it up into one big vector and then also keep partitioning information around. Bioconductor does this (see ?IRanges::CompressedList ). The potential benefit here being that the underlying large vector could then be a big out-of-memory altrep. How

Any plans for ALTREP lists (VECSXP)?
Hello, I was wondering if there were any plans for ALTREP lists (VECSXP)? It seems to me that they could be supported in a similar way to how ALTSTRING works, with Elt() and Set_elt() methods, or would there be some problems with that I?m not seeing due to lists not being atomic vectors? I was taking an approach of converting each list element (of a file-based list data structure) to an ALTREP

Subscript out of bounds- (my) problem with expansion of expression?
Hi, I have this problem (R 1.2.2 on Pentium, OS WinNT4 SP6) : mytable is a 3D (n*p*2) table of non-negative "integers". There is a need to do n times chisq.test (rbind(mytable[i,,1], mytable[i,,2])) #on p*2 tables Columns with zero value in the first row should be omitted, for example chisq.test (rbind(mytable[i,-c(3,4,6),1], mytable[i,-c(3,4,6),2])) #for i-th table with zero
