upgrade to 4.8.3 authentication not work without specifying domain
I gave you the most simple option.
And the difference is.
myserverdomain\username works only on that server. (myserverdomain)
.\username works on any server where the loginname and password are the same.
There is NO other option for you that i know off. (sorry)
Yes.. the other option is, setup an AD domain.

How about setting:
map untrusted to domain = yes
The default changed here. But it would still help if we could see the
smb.conf as the big difference with 4.8 is that winbind needs to run
now. This might also do something like this.

If the clients login locally and not in a domain.
Then tell you users to use .\loginname

Current system can be maintaint anymore due to outdated os-ses.
Upgrading is obligates, the longer he waits te more it will cost him.
And thats only because of inflations..
And really, first its a workgroup, now its a classic NT domain.

I updated a centos 7 without changing the samba configuration. Before
authentication worked even without having to specify the domain to the
logon. After the update, on the other hand, it is mandatory to specify
the domain.
user password: not work.
domain \ user password work.
I have 5000 windows (xp / 7/10) clients not in domain. Client workgroups

information matrix test in r/s
Greetings, Fellow R-ians:
I'm working with a few different quasi-likelihood formulations for some data
I'm analyzing. I'd like to implement the Information Matrix Test (see,
e.g., White, 1982, or Lancaster, 1984) for each of them to determine which
of the models is more likely. Since the null distribution of the test
statistic is chi-squared, I envision calculating the ordinate of

Structural break test Andrews (2003)
Dear Friends, I am looking for an R version of the structural break test in
Andrews (2003). The excellent strucchange package does not include this
test (yet?). Is this test available in another package? If not, might
there already be a function written to do this test? Thank you very much.

Troubles with Farpoint Spread controls
Hi all.
The environment we are working on is a Red Hat Linux 6.2, with XFree 4.0
and KDE 2.1.
The wine has been compiled using egcs-1.1.2. Wine itself is latest
snapshot (20010731).
The application we're trying to run crashes when tries to display a
dialog box using Spread controls (from Farpoint). The crash occurs
during a WM_PAINT.
By exploring the builind of the window, the control

mvtnorm package
Dear all,
I would like to ask information about the package mvtnorm in R.
It is very useful for me the "qmvnorm" comand, but I see that it can
compute only quantile for equicoordinate. Is it possible to have a
curve (or a set of values) if we don't want equicoordinates?
Thank you
Best regards
Antonio.

ellipse
Dear all,
I'm using the ellipse package and I would like to verify if the
confidence region that I
build with this package can be equivalent to an Union Intersection
Test. I used different
value for the t-statistic but I can not find the right equivalence.
Does someone know how to choose the right value?
Thanks a lot.

I'm working with the Rpart package and trying to understand how the
procedure select the best split in the case the method "class" and the
splitting index "Gini" are used. In particular I'd like to have look to the
source code that works out the best split for un unordered predictor.
Does anyone can suggest me which functions in the sources I should
