Adding different output to different lattice panels
I would like to add a reference line to lattice graphs, with the reference line
being different according to the factor level.
Example : Draw 3 dotplots for "a","b" and "c" factors, and then add an
horizontal line at y=10 for panel "a", y=8 for panel "b" and y=6 for panel "4"
I tried the code below, but this draw all three reference

Doubly Non-Central F-Distribution
Dear Professor
I have read your questions in the website on Doubly non-central
F-distribution. I am looking for source code for evaluating this
function now. I have matlab code but it's only accurate up to the 4th
decimal point. Dataplot is more accurate, but it is not user friendly as
you only can evaluate one function at a time. So I would like to know do

dataplot oen source? (was: RE: FW: re: GUI's for teaching)
IIRC, the license stated in the source code of dataplot is rather
restrictive. I don't think one is allowed to use the source as can be done
with GPL code.
Cheers,
Andy

help with Tukey Mean-Difference Plot
Dear R users,
I would appreciate for some advise how to generate a Tukey
Mean-Difference Plot with the tmd function part of the lattice
library. I have two test results (log transformed) which showing a
correlation on a scatterplot. However the correlation line is
parallel displaced depending on a clinical condition. I thought to a
Tukey Mean Difference Plot would show me the difference

FW: re: GUI's for teaching
Have a look at the GUI on dataplot, NIST's plotting software. It is implemented in tcl/tk. The site states it is "public domain software" -- open source? I can't find anything about the license. In any case...

Problem with Weighted Variance in Hmisc
The function wtd.var(x,w) in Hmisc calculates the weighted variance of x
where w are the weights. It appears to me that wtd.var(x,w) = var(x) if all
of the weights are equal, but this does not appear to be the case. Can
someone point out to me where I am going wrong here? Thanks.

How to configure Dovecot to disable NIST's curves and still rertain EECDH?
I am interested in configuring Dovecot's TLS so as to retain forward
secrecy, but eliminate all of NIST's elliptic curves.
Besides being subject to side channel attacks [1], in some quarters
there is a general distrust of NIST's curves and any of their other
cryptographic primitives after the Dual EC DRBG debacle.

R codes for g-and-h distribution
hi!
I would like to ask help how to generate numbers from g-and-h distribution. This distribution is like normal distribution but span more of the kurtosis and skewness plane. Has R any package on how to generate them?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Dear All:
I am stuck with this issue:
I have a button on a TK window, once click it, it pops up a individual

plotfuntype()

cca constraining variables table
I performed canonical correspondence analysis (cca) with the example data of
vegan, but I'm not able to obtain a table like scores() for the constraining
variables. I can see them in the summary() mode, but it would be great to
have in a separate table. Any suggestion?, thanx Gianandrea

Snapping and constraining?
How would I make a dragable box snap every 100 pixels horizontally and every
25 pixels vertically, and be constrained to a box that is 800 pixels wide by
500 pixels tall?
And then how can I retrieve the position of this box when it is released.
Thanks

constraining initial slope in smoother.spline
Hello. I want to fit a smoother spline (or an equivalent local
regression method) to a series of data in which the initial value of the
1st derivative (slope) is constrained to a specific value. Is it
possible to do this? If so, how?

Constraining coefficients
Hello All:
I have a binomial model with one covariate, x1, treated as a factor with
3 levels. The other covariate is measured x2 <- 1:30. The response, y,
is the proportion of successes out of 20 trials.
glm(cbind(y, 20 - y) ~ x1 * x2, family = binomial)
Now, I would like to constrain the cofficients on 2 levels of the
factor, x1, to be identical and test the difference between these

Constraining coefficients to be equal in svar
Hello,
I'm working on an structural VAR using the var command to estimate and the
svar command on the resultant object (package: vars). I want to constrain
coefficients to equal one another, but that value to be estimated. So for
the A matrix, I want A[2,1]=A[1,2] to be my constraints.
Can this be done with this package? If so, how? If not, is there another
package that it might be done with

I have been using the mlogit package but can't seem to figure out how to make constraints on the beta coefficients.
For example, I would like to force that two of my beta's are equal to each other.

Constraining linear regression model
Hi All,
I have two questions:
I am computing a linear regression model with 0 as Intercept.
Well, I would like the sum of my predicted values be equal to a constant
and therefore analyze if my coefficients are significatively different
using or not this constraint.
Does anyone know how I can constrain my model in a such way?
Here is the code:

constraining correlations
Hello,
I've searched for an answer to no avail. I am wondering if anyone
knows how to constrain certain correlations to be equal. I have family
data with 2 twins per family plus up to 2 siblings. I would like to
somehow constrain all the sibling correlations (twin-sib and sib-sib)
to be the same while allowing the twin-twin correlation to be
different. Here is some simulated code:

[PATCH] Resize improvements (Multiple resize modes, better aspect ratio constraining)
Hi,
I have ported various improvements of Beryl's resize to Compiz:
- multiple resize modes (aside to the standard "normal" mode those are
"Stretch", "Outline" and "Filled Outline")
- better aspect ratio constraining (you now also can resize aspect
constrained windows from other edges than the lower right)
- avoiding of mouse pointer desynchronization
