File size limitation?
When I run backup and send the output to a file on the server, I get a file limitation of 2g. When I do the same backup to a snap server, there is no problem. Is there a size limitation for a single file? Thanks, Steven C. Henry stevench@xnet.com

Adding XP to a samba domain
Bare with me please :-) I know this question has probably been asked before but a quick overview of the archives didn't help me out. Couple of parts 1. Can a samba domain be established that doesn't require registry hacks on an XP machine to add the XP machine? 2. What would a VERY basic smb.conf file look like that creates a samba domain for W2K and XP machines? 3. Does anyone

dumb question about SMB and Squid
is there by any chance a smb modual for squid? Squid is a proxy/cache server used on unix systems that gives pretty complete logs, but only lists clients by IP. Is there anyway to easily tie this to a netbios name incase your administrating a windows network and want names associated with places instead of IP's that can change on a DHCP network? thanks all -Conlan Adams

4.9-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know. ------------------ From: Karol Herbst <kherbst at redhat.com> [ Upstream commit 6d60ce384d1d5ca32b595244db4077a419acc687 ] If something calls ioremap() with an address not aligned to PAGE_SIZE, the returned address might be not aligned as well. This led to a probe registered on exactly the returned address, but

Creating a Bootable Image file
Newbie Question: We are using RHEL 5.2 with the 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5xen kernel. I am trying to follow instructions that I found to create an bootable image by doing the following: I first created a 10 gig file and formatted the partition using the dd and mkfs.ext3 commands: dd if=/dev/zero if=generic.img bs=1024k count=10000 mkfs.ext3 -t ext3 generic.img >From a working image that I

Vorbis and MP3 file verification
Does anyone know of programs one can use to verify the integrity of OGG Vorbis and MP3 files? I've found that Ices 0.3 has a penchant for: 1) skipping files it deems improperly encoded, or 2) passing squelchy aural gibberish on to Icecast and then promptly crashing. The only method I've found is trial and error and Google has been of little help. Thanks! Jed --- >8 ---- List

Asterisk Guru help needed for DISA troubles
I have a setup which allows users to access my asterisk box via FWD. That is, a user in say, France can call into a local access number for FWD, then hit number 7 which dumps them into a DISA request for a password, which then dumps them into my internal extension so they can dial out through a VOIP provider. Everything works fine until they enter their tones for the number they are calling

Emergency Asterisk Guru help needed -- Yucky sound with MOH
I've recently upgraded *@home to CVS HEAD and in addition to losing the ability to use the MySQL database, I've noticed that my MOH has degraded significantly. I've tried all sorts of remedies -- removing the x100p card and loading asterisk without the zaptel drivers and such -- still have terrible MOH. I've used .raw. sln. mu. .gsm .mp3 files for the music on hold and it

We've mostly gotten our Asterisk install working, but there are a couple glitches I haven't been able to fix. I'm looking for someone who knows Asterisk, can do some consulting work, and is in Southern California. Los Angeles or Orange County are ok, but I'd prefer someone in the Inland Empire, with strongest preference given to people here in the High Desert or in the San
