RODBC, IODBC and Mac OS X
Dear All, As some of you in the archive, i am experiencing problems in using RODBC with IODBC on Mac OS X Panther. I am currrently facing two problems. The first one is apparently linked with IODBC (according to returned R error message) although testing the database access from IODBC manager seems to work fine. The second is by far more radical, R purely and simply reports an error ,

Diva 4BRI, asterisk and capidrv support ?
Hello, I acquired a Diva Server 4BRI for an AsteriskPBX system and installed a 2.4.20 kernel modified with the latest eicon capi2.0 support from www.melware.net. Capi support seems to work fine: Asterisk+chan_capi answers the calls. However if I try to use my old isdnutils apps by loading a i4l compatibility layer then I have the following problems: - if I use the diva2i4l module and start the

I was wondering if I would use my Free phone line with Bellster as well, but I am not sure this is authorized by the ISP : http://adsl.free.fr/hd/cgv.html [in French] En particulier,

Bestfortress driver, network serial patch for nut-2.0
Best fortress support was understandably dropped, but we still use them, and someone else may want the driver I ported to nut-2.0. We also often attach the serial cable from a UPS to a network terminal server, since servers these days don't come with very many serial ports. (They call them "legacy" ports.) I submitted a patch to support these for nut-1.x, and it was rejected

Roff typo in sievec.1.in
There is a roff typo in pigeonhole's sievec.1.in. Roff treats the leading apostrophe on line 54 as an invalid command and produces bad output: dump to be written to stdout. The out-file argument may also be omitted, which has the same effect as for a com- piled Sieve binary file. Note that this option is not The output should be:

Samba LDAP Failover
Hi, I have a quite "simple" setup for a particular customer that loves redundancy and failover. PDC + BDC with LDAP Passwords on two 389-ds in multimaster node + several samba member servers Actually pointing singularly on both the systems everything works great. As soon as I modify my passdb backend line from the single form to the form containing both backends that is from passdb

Dataframes in PLS package
I have been working with the pls procedure and have problems getting the procedure to work with matrix or frame data. I suspect the problem lies in my understanding of frames, but can't find anything in the documentation that will help. Here is what I have done: I read in an 10000 x 8 table of data, and assign the first four columns to matrix A and the second four to matrix B pls <-

new(er) SEC driver.
Hi! I've recently come into to the possesion of a couple of Belkin Omniguard 3200 UPS's. Given the horrible apache/java based software they come with, I decided to see if I cannot get them to work with NUT. To cut a long story short, they work out to be SEC -based, and extensively modifying the nut-1.4 driver code to come up with the attached two files. I've marked them

Logcheck portability
Hello everybody, I'm wrong, or the last development of LogCheck has made this package a lot less "portable" than it was before? I mean: I don't think lockfile-progs exists for other operating systems than Linux, so it's impossible to install it on them. If I'm right, the next question is: why was this decision made? No flame please... I'm only a sysadmin who
