Buggy trellis.focus() with xyplot ?

bivariate case in Local Polynomials regression
Hi: I am using the package "KernSmooth" to do the local polynomial regression. However, it seems the function "locpoly" can only deal with univariate covaraite. Dear friends - please give me a hand. I have a dataset of 40 patients in two groups observed on three occasions. I only want to plot a line for each patient in the two groups. I use the ltext function to put the patient number but fail to make lattice understand the numbers as unique since apparently it starts all over with 1:20 for each panel instead of respecting my desires to have 1:20

problem with lattice tiff or bitmap: character size and color
Hi all, I am trying to make tiff files of lattice plots at a resolution greater than 300 dpi required by a journal (PLoS ONE). I have tried both the tiff and bitmap functions. tiff keeps panel colors but reduces axes and tick labels so they are nearly invisible. bitmap maintains correct label size but only produces greyscale. Regular plots work fine with tiff; the problem is only with lattice

Labeling points with xYplot
Hello R-Users, I am trying to label points on an xYplot. I can label the points, but then I lose the error bars. I suspect that I should be using panel.xYplot rather than panel.xyplot, but that didn't work either... Can anybody help me out? Example code is below. smooth curves
I would like to draw smooth curves instead of polygons. I could not find any spline function to do that : given an x and a y vectors, they all take the x in increasing order.
