decode_pw_buffer: incorrect password length
Dear list, I have a pretty small samba setup with one samba server acting as PDC and 6 pretty diverse clients. I had no problem joining two win98 clients and one XP client and two win2000 clients to the domain. There is only one win2000 client which I simply can't join. In the samba logs I find decode_pw_buffer: incorrect password length whenever I try to join this PC using the root user.

ext3 instability in RH8.0?
We've been noticing some problems with ext3 and, in our case, postfix, that appear to come to light under heavy disk i/o loading. A previous thread found here (http://www.redhat.com/mailing-lists/ext3-users/msg04189.html) documents an identical set of symptons (and similar setup), but with RH 7.2 The specifics are this: 1. Stock install of RH8.0 with postfix. 2. Linux mx 2.4.18-14 #1

broadvoice connection problem
All, I signed up for a broadvoice BYOD plan over the weekend (very excited about their offering) and after about an hour I had asterisk registered and was making in and out bound calls. However, the next day (without changing anything) I couldn't call in or out and haven't been able to get it going again. I can connect using a softphone (X-Lite) and make calls in and out

cisco 7960 sccp firmware version?
I have some Cisco 7960's and want to use them with SCCP - I have gotten it working with a few different firmware versions but all seem a little flakey. I know that SCCP is not as solid as SIP but am wondering, which firmware version is advised for use with chan_sccp from http://chan-sccp.sourceforge.net/ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller
Hello, I'm trying to install CentOS 6.0 64bit on a HP ProLiant ML110 G7 with a HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller. One logical drive (RAID 1+0) on the RAID Controller is already build. CentOS Installation can't find the logical Drive, but it shows me the zwo physical drives (sda+sdb). After searching the web, I found following hints:

rsync time machine backup permissions
What is the order that rsync uses to set permissions? Time Machine directories have ACL permissions that basically prohibit making any changes of any kind. In order to make a backup of the directory, you would need to set those permissions after copying everything in the subdirectories. Is rsync smart enough to do it in that order? slow FLAC__file_decoder_seek_absolute()...
Hi, I checked the archives, but I didn't find anything regarding this problem. FLAC__file_decoder_seek_absolute takes an incredibly long time to seek. What can I do about this? How do I fix it? Here's how I'm calling the function: if (argc > 2) { secs = atoi(argv[2]); seek_point = (FLAC__uint64) secs * sample_rate; printf("seeking to %d:%02d\n", secs/60,

Failed to start CTDB first time after install
Hi, I am setting up a two node Samba cluster with CTDB in AWS in two different subnets. All IP ports are open between these two subnets. I am initially forming the Samba cluster with one node, then will add the second node after startup of CTDB. I am not using public_addresses for CTDB due to AWS not supporting VIP's. I am using 64bit Amazon Linux with two NICs defined, eth0 as the

slow FLAC__file_decoder_seek_absolute()...
sorry about the delay... first, yes you are calling it correctly. if your encoded files have max_framesize == 0, then that should mean that either 1) you were using the command-line flac to encode to stdout; or 2) you are using libFLAC directly. if 2, you can replicate the functionality that is in src/flac/encode.c:metadata_callback() to write back statistics and seek table to the metadata in

Accessing examplars in apcluster (apcluster package)
Hi, I was wondering how it was possible to access the actual cluster exemplars from the APResult class. Currently it only spits it out onto the terminal if you type the object but there is no other way to see which one is the examplar. Would appreciate any help. Thanks, Sachin [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

how many quad T1 cards
Jerry, back in August you were thinking about putting 4 T1 cards in a single box--did you end up doing that and how did it work out? We're looking at 700-800 lines for an app and are trying to figure out how many machines we'll need. Has anyone else done more than 2 quad T1 cards? -- Scott Plante, CTO Insight Systems, Inc.
