apache, apache's mod-auth-pam, and pam_winbind : no nested groups
this problem might be more to do with apache than winbind, but I'll
start here anyway...
Problem: can't get apache httpauth to work with nested groups, though
ssh auth (also using pam) to same box does
Config:

software: apache 2.0.55, libapache2-mod-auth-pam 1.1.1, and winbind 3.0.22

Torchlight: Multiplayer MOD not found ...
Hi,
I installed the Torlight Multiplayer MOD, but Torchlight can't found it. I guess Wine doesn't find the included DLL in the Torchlight folder. With Windows 7 it works well.
The MOD only adds the following files to the Torchlight (Steam) root folder ('/home/gameuser/.local/share/wineprefixes/steam/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/torchlight')

This would happen if trying to do obtain MODSEQ on a mailbox that has
mod-sequences disabled. That error should be caught and not be
user-visible (I

append_features(mod)
The documentation says:
When this module is included in another, Ruby calls append_features in
this module, passing it the receiving module in mod. Ruby’s default
implementation is to add the constants, methods, and module variables
of this module to mod if this module has not already been added to mod
or one of its ancestors. See also Module#include.

Problem with Horde "Mailbox does not support mod-sequences"
Hi list!
I already asked about this problem about two years ago, but I couldn't
solve my problem...
Now I have a new Server, with Debian 8 and Dovecot 2.2.13-12 (from
Debian repositories) and Horde 5.2.13.
When I delete an E-Mail, I always get the error "Mailbox does not
support mod-sequences".
It results in having the E-Mail not moved to Trash and I must update

Steam, Garry's Mod not launching.
Hello people of Wine.
Let me just say, the developers of Wine, your AWESOME.
Keep up the brilliant work, you have helped my transition to Linux become 10 times easier.
But, anyway, I have one small issue with Steam games on Wine.
Im running Steam as Windows XP and when i go to launch Garry's Mod(Even with -dxlevel 8) it will show up the Launching Garry's Mod window, then nothing comes

xml mis-read in civ4 bts 3.17 running ffh2 mod
I have Civ4 BTS 3.17 installed and running on Ubuntu 8.10 using Wine 1.1.13. The game seems to be OK but I have been playing the Fall from Heaven 2 mod recently and the data for the Great Library used within the game is corrupted (sages being given ridiculously large espionage bonuses). The xml files on disk are fine and there is no problem when running the same mod on Windows.
I am using the

Mod function?
Hi Folks!
I need to execute a piece of R code inside a loop, say, every fourth
time my counter increases (it increases by 1 unit each time.)
Is there any sort of mod function in R to do this? Or is this done some
other way? Many thanks!
Best,
john

Solution to Garry's mod prop crashing problem
Bug 12044 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12044) really messes up the garry's mod experience so I have made an addon to change the way you die when getting hit by a prop.
Download the File =D (http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=53943)
Now you can drop cars on yourself now!

UFO Extraterrestrials - Version RU-20100428 + BMan's Mod
Greetings!..
I'm asking an advice with UFO Extraterrestrials - Version RU-20100428 + BMan's Mod.
First, I have to say, that I'm using Wine 1.2.1
I have installed WineTricks and with thist script I installed MFC40.dll (without the installation didn't work).
So, the game starts in vitrual desktop mode (1024x768) with flicker; the mouse works but with desync. No sound (Error
