The problem started when i installed a kodicom 4400 card and started to run zoneminder.

Fwd: Fwd: HOW to enable traceroute with IPTABLES(SLOVED)
Hi all,
That issue is over now. I found why my ESTABLISHED,RELATED rule at the top
of INPUT chain did not work for udp and icmp.
The reason was I have included the protocol as tcp as below
iptables -A INPUT -i eth0 -p tcp -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j
ACCEPT
I removed -p tcp from above rule. Now it works for all protocols.
Thanks for your support.

Voice Modem + Soundcard Driver
The problem with using Voice Modems is that they fall into two categories:
1) Hardware Modems which only have half-duplex transmission of voice
2) Soft/Win/Lin modems which are proprietry and don't have asterisk drivers
Please shoot down this recipe before I waste any time trying to acheive it:

[LLVMdev] Is IR VM does make sense since llvm3 ?
Hi llvm list !
Everything is in the question.
I've read this discussion on the mailinglist * [LLVMdev] LLVM IR is a
compiler IR<https://groups.google.com/d/topic/llvm-dev/N3r_a1Vbrog/discussion>
. *
But since llvm3 and type system rewrite, is it a good idea to rethink about
a VM wich could run the IR bytecode directly?
llvm has differents bytecode from low level, to more hight level...

FFT function
Hi,
A very simple question.
I know that the Fourier transform of a Laplace distribution, with zero
mean and variance 2b^2, is equal to 1/(1+(tb)^2). Therefore, the Fourier
transform is a positive function (actually is always between 0 and 1).
BUT, if I use the fft(alpha) function of R, where alpha is a vector
containing 128 values of the probability density function from -2 to 2, I
get negative

[LLVMdev] LLVM IR generation as one of LLVM passes
Hi!
I'm new to LLVM and I'm planning to write a compiler, which would behave
slighty different than all current tools.
As an input it will not get text but it will read a file (lets assume for a
moment, that in this file there will be a graph structure).
Before generating IR code I want to be able to run optimalization and
analysis passes on this graph and after these passes I want to run

I.O error: zpool metadata corrupted after powercut
Last 2 weeks we had 2 zpools corrupted.
Pool was visible via zpool import, but could not be imported anymore. During import attempt we got I/O error,
After a first powercut we lost our jumpstart/nfsroot zpool (another pool was still OK). Luckaly jumpstart data was backed up and easely restored, nfsroot Filesystems where not but those where just test machines. We thought the metadata corruption

mixing and 'downgrading' of vorbis-files
Greetings,
I was wondering some things:
For a internet radio-station (e.g. using mp3 and hopefully using ogg
soon), appart from the basic 'streaming' functionallity, there are two
things that are also important
- mixing music
- 'downgrading' a signal to a lower datarate.
Concerning 'mixing' music, it would be interesting to be able to mix two
ogg-files without the need to

interp equivalent
Hi
I'm looking to a function in R equivalent to S-PLUS' "interp".
Is there any implementation in R?
If not, is there any similar interpolation function such that at
the data points the interpolated values concides with the data?
Thanks in advance

[LLVMdev] LLVM IR generation as one of LLVM passes
Thank you, I have seen this page, but before I start developing my tool and
digging deeply into LLVM I would love to know if I can generate LLVM IR in
one of passes (as a result of one pass, before running other).
Please answer this simple question :)
Thank you :)

streaming: some idea's
Greetings,
A couple of weeks ago, there was here a discussion about streaming. Here
is two things that I would like to add to
the discussion: meta-streaming and control-streaming. (Althou I do not
think my ideas are that new)
* First metastreaming:
If you look at DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting), one of nice features
(apart from it being a European standard ;-)) is the existing of a
meta-stream.

GlusterFS healing questions
Someone on the #gluster-users irc channel said the following :
"Decreasing features.locks-revocation-max-blocked to an absurdly low number is letting our distributed-disperse set heal again."
Is this something to concider? Does anyone else have experience with tweaking this to speed up healing?

how can I obtain the value of r suqared for a non-linear model? For
linear models it can be found in the summary() of the model but for
non-linear models I just don't know. Please help!

Do I need a ring capacitor to use TDM400P cards in UK
Hello
I have played about with a TDM400 card and plugged in some standard analog phones. I am using the card in FXS mode - for analog extensions. I did notice that one of my phones did not ring and I wondered why. I later read in Paul Mahler's book VoIP Telephony with Asterisk that in his section on the TDM400 on page 127 he says "In the UK, you may need an adapter that provides a
