Start Model for POLYCLASS
Dear all,
I have a question on how to set up the starting model in POLYCLASS and
make sure the terms in the starting model retained in the final
POLYCLASS model.
In the function POLYMARS, this can be done using the STARTMODEL option.
See below for example, I started with model
y= b0 + b1*X1 + b2*X2 + b3*X4 + b4*X5 + b5*X2*X5 + e

R CMD SHLIB problem [make: *** No rule to make target ]
Hy all,
I apologize for my ingenuity in regard to interfaces in R, but I do need it for my work. In that respect I took a simple and small example from the net (the "hello world", one) to interface R with C.
I have a Windows XP OS using R.2.5.0 and in that regard I have installed the Perl and RTools files to my PC. I also wrote a proper path file, as suggested.
The C program is:

Help with IMAP IDLE
Hi,
I'm becaming crazy about this!
I've asked before, not no matter what i do or conf, never works.
How can i make IDLE work for real with MSOutlook, so that i can receive
emails when they arrive, instead of changing folder/get out and in my
account?
Here's my conf, should it be reflected in postconf -n (is it the running
conf?):

This doesn't really fix your problem, you just removed the signs of it.
The order of the files in /etc/dovecot/conf.d matters.
Please provide the following:
doveconf -n
grep -B2 -A1 'mail_plugins

Multihomed question: want Lustre over IB andEthernet
Chris,
Perhaps you need to perform some write_conf like command. I''m not sure if this is needed in 1.6 or not.

how to edit my R codes into a efficient way
Hello, Everyone,
I am a student an a new learner of R and I am trying to do my homework
in R. I have 10 files need to be read and process seperately. I really
want to write the codes into something like "macro" to save the lines
instead of repeating 10 times of similar work.
The following is part of my codes and I only extracted three lines for
each repeating section.

Does LLVM allow mapping a virtual register to a specific memory location? If not, how do we extract information on where the virtual registers are mapped to?

I have a data set containing variables LOSS, GDP, HPI and UE.
(I have attached it in case it is required).
Having renamed the variables as l,g,h and u, I wish to run a Lasso
Regression with l as the dependent variable and all the other 3 as the
independent variables.

l=data$LOSS

lasso based selection for mixed model
Dear useRs (called Frank Harrell, most likely),
after having preached for years to my medical colleagues to be cautious
with stepwise selection procedures, they chanted back asking for an
alternative when using mixed models.
There is a half dozen laXXX packages around for all types of linear models,
but as far I see there is none for mixed models such as lme. Even

Lasso for k-subset regression
Dear R-users
I'm trying to use lasso in lars package for subset regression, I have a
large matrix of size 1000x100 and my aim is to select a subset k of the 100
variables.
Is there any way in lars to fix the number k (i.e. to select the best 10
variables)

R package dependency issues when namespace is not attached
I have always assumed that having a package in the 'Depends' field
would automatically also?import?the namespace. However, it seems that
in R 2.15, dependencies do not become available until the package is
actually?attached?to the searchpath. Is this intended behavior?
The problem appears as follows: Suppose there is a package 'Child'
which?Depends, but does not explicitly
