Building package compatible w/ R v1.9.1 and R v2.0.0?
Hi,
just in the process of updating my packages for R v2.0.0 and I have not had
time to followed the R v2.0.0 discussions so maybe my questions have already
been answered.
A concern I have is that when creating packages they should be backward
compatible with R v1.9.x for a while until all users and computers has
migrated to R v2.0.x. It is pretty straightforward to setup my packages so

How to Solve the Error( error:cannot allocate vector of size 1.1 Gb)
Hi, Gurus
Thanks to your good helps, I have managed starting the use of a text
mining package so called "tm" in R under the OS of Win XP.
However, during running the tm package, I got another mine like memory problem.
What is a the best way to solve this memory problem among increasing a

package "tm" fails to remove "the" with remove stopwords
I am using code that previously worked to remove stopwords using package
"tm". Even manually adding "the" to the list does not work to remove "the".
This package has undergone extensive redevelopment with changes to the
function syntax, so perhaps I am just missing something.
Please see my simple example, output, and sessionInfo() below.
Thanks!

Ayuda Error in `colnames<-`(`*tmp*`, value = c(
Buenas tardes, grupo.

display p-values and significance levels
Hi there,
I got a piece of code for the Iris data which allows to display correlation
coefficients for each Iris species in the lower panel (color coded). I would
now like to add e.g. a "*" to show the significance of each correlation next
to the correlation coefficient.
Furthermore I would like to make a t.test between the species "setosa" and
"versicolor" for

strsplit with dataframes
Hello fellow R people,
I can not figure out a pretty way to use strplit with vectors
Imagine that I got the following data from someone with ID's
representing several factors

A1-B1-t2 1
A1-B2-t1 5
A1-B2-t2 10
A1-B10-t1 0
A1-B10-t2 1
A1-B20-t1 5
A1-B20-t2 10

Installation problems with R.classes bundle
Firstly hi to everyone on the list,
I am new to this list ans also R so please forgive the simplicity of my
questions over the next few months.
I have version R 1.9.1 and want to perform z-scoring for a benchmarking
procedure. I have tried to install Henrik Bengtsson's R.classes bundle
(http://www.maths.lth.se/help/R/R.classes). I have downloaded the .zip
file and placed the relevant folders

Function failure in tm
HI all:
I have a customized source reader for the package tm (that Milan Bouchet-Vallat has been instrumental in producing).
I can get it to produce a corpus of class:
"VCorpus" "Corpus" "list"
class(mycorp[1]) returns
"VCorpus" "Corpus" "list"
and class(mycorp[[1]] returns

I have tried installation using both the GUI version of R and also

reshape question
I am a relative R newbie and I am having trouble with reshape() on R
V1.9.1 on Linux. The same code appears to be ok when run on R V2.2.0 on
Windows and a V2.1 on Linux. Any help would be great as I need to stay
on V1.9 for the immediate future... Thanks, Reid Hutchins

wordcloud y tabla de palabras
Hola,
+ datos.

strsplit with a vector split argument
Hi,
I find this behavior unexpected:
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
> strsplit(c("a,b;c","d;e,f"),c(",",";"))
[[1]]
[1] "a" "b;c"
[[2]]
[1] "d" "e,f"
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
I thought that it should be identical to this:
