Comparing matrices
Hello all, I have two matrices, pop and pop2, each the same number of rows and columns that I want to compare for equality. I am concerned about efficiency in this operation. I've tried a few things without success so far. Doing something simple like: if (pop==pop2) { cat('equal') } else { cat('NOT equal') } results in the warning: 1: In if (pop == pop2) { : the

3 questions regarding matrix copy/shuffle/compares
Hello all, I have the following function call to create a matrix of POP_SIZE rows and fill it with bit strings of size LEN: pop=create_pop_2(POP_SIZE, LEN) I have 3 questions: (1) If I did keep_pop[1:POP_SIZE] == pop[1:POP_SIZE] to keep a copy of the original data structure before manipulating 'pop' potentially, would this make a deep copy or just shallow? Problems with the borders (High difficulty)
Dear r-help members, Could any of you help me with this model, please? This model gives error when some value touch whatever border and I do not know how to correct it. The 80% of the seeds produced by a plant will fell into the parent cell, the 15% in the first ring according to the king movement (in chess), and a 5% in the second ring defined by the queen2 matrix. Someone said me the functions

Is this a bug or by design? Workaround?
Hi, I need to use the trailing 5 digits of a callerid. callerid may be anything from a length of 4 to 10 digits in this case. Using this: ----------- SubString,cid=${CALLERIDNUM}|-5|5 Works great, BUT shows this message: "The use of Substring application is deprecated. Please use ${variable:a:b} instead" So, I try --------- SetVar(cid=${CALLERIDNUM:-5:5}) The result is a empty

Hi, Using latest cvs. A comment-line begins with semicolon ; However - if the line contains ;-- or like this ; -- blabla bla -- You get this error and * stops reading that file: Feb 21 13:47:12 WARNING[17393]: config.c:664 config_text_file_load: Unterminated comment detected beginning on line 0 Shouldn't Asterisk skip any line beginning with a semicolon? 1.0-test69
http://dovecot.org/test/ - Several mbox fixes, upgrade recommended for test68 mbox users - Possibly fixes some IMAP hangs where Dovecot just stopped replying - Fixed delay-newmail workaround. It was badly broken before. And somewhat off topic advertisement: I got a bit distracted from Dovecot a week ago when a guy started mailing me about wanting to write an irssi2 client as a project to

Sweave echoing comments (again)
Hello, I try to document some R scripts for my collegues and observed the problem, that Sweave strips comment lines away. As a small example I write in an Rtex file: \begin{Scode} ## a small example test() # line comment \end{Scode} ... the .tex file generated by Sweave only contains: \begin{Schunk} \begin{Sinput} test() \end{Sinput} \end{Schunk} ... and all the comments are lost.

How to quieten axis() for Sweave: avoid echoing NULL?
Dear R-community, I'm using Sweave to produce reports. The reports require the "axis" command. When I run axis the program returns NULL as well as creating the axis. > plot(1:4, rnorm(4), axes=FALSE) > axis(1, 1:4, LETTERS[1:4]) NULL > So, my Sweave tex files have \begin{Schunk} \begin{Soutput} NULL \end{Soutput} \end{Schunk} in front of each graphic that requires

Echoing commands (not using source())
Is there a way of echoing (similar to Matlab "echo on") commands that are being executed? I know how to do this for script files by using source(..., echo=TRUE), but I would like to be able to use this within *any* function. I am also not looking for the debug() function. Here is what I would like to do: myFunction <- function() { echo(TRUE); x <- 3; cat("x = ", x,

R console not echoing input
I have a weird problem running R.app 3.3.2 under Mac OS X 10.10.5. I was trying to interrupt a command line using various Control codes until I discovered that ?Esc? is the escape key. (Makes sense!) Now I find that while I can enter new commands to R, they no longer echo back, so I cannot see what I am typing. On unix terminals CTL-Q will reset this, but it does not seem to work on the R

Thanks, Iain.
