very simple repeated measures, newbie questions
Suppose I do a psychology experiment in which each of six subjects does several items in each of five fixed conditions, A, B, C, D, and E. The items are randomized separately for each subject, so I can ignore order. All I want to know is whether the five conditions differ. The data look like this. Don't do anything yet. I may have found the problem by accident. I tried to use the computer from something else, and it was being drastically slowed down by some leftover processes, which turned out to be xlhtml. That is something that converts Excel files. Apparently, some excel files got into the libraries, and they were causing the indexing to hang completely. I am now running everything

Repeated measures by lme and aov give different results
I am analyzing data from an experiment with two factors: Carbon (+/-) and O3 (+/-), with 4 replicates of each treatment, and 4 harvests over a year. Rweb: how to use source()
I cannot discover how to set or find the working directory in Rweb, so that I can source() a file from the server. The file I source() must refer to a data file in its directory. setwd() does not do anything, and getwd() says that the working directory is in /var/www/cgi-bin/ (on Linux). modifying INSTALL to make html but not build package
For my R page at http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/ (also the target of RSiteSearch()), I'm trying to find a way to get the html versions of the help pages without actually installing packages. make.packages.html
It used to be that, whenever I added or updated a new package, the file /usr/lib/R/doc/html/packages.html would be updated (on Linux). Now I find that this does not happen anymore. Goodman / Kruskal gamma

minor error in documentation of pmax in base (PR#2513)
The documentation says, "pmax and pmin take several vectors as arguments and return a single vector giving the parallel maxima (or minima) of the vectors." I discovered that, if you use a matrix or array instead of a vector, pmax returns a matrix or array, respectively. impute missing values in correlated variables: transcan?
I would like to impute missing data in a set of correlated variables (columns of a matrix). It looks like transcan() from Hmisc is roughly what I want.
