I've got an ATA186 and a computer with Sjphone installed.
If i want to call the sjphone from the ata or call the ata from de sjphone
everything is ok.
My problem is ,that i can't call the voicemail or any other phone number

I don't know why but i looked after a long

How to create as.numeric.xxx
I would like to create a function to convert data based on a class using
as.numeric
Similarly, using a plot, I do:
plot.essai <- function(x, ...) {return(x*2)}
d <- 10
class(d) <- "essai"
plot(d)
It works:
[1] 20
attr(,"class")
[1] "essai"
Now same with as.numeric:
as.numeric.essai <- function(x, ...) {return(x*2)}
as.numeric(d)
It does not work:

Problem with loop
Hi,
I try to build a loop difficultly.
I have in a folder called Matrices several files (.csv) called Mat2002273,
Mat2002274 to Mat2002361.
I want to calculate for each file the mean of the column called Pixelvalues.
I try this code but as result, I have this message: Mat2002273 not found

binding vectors or matrix using their names
Hello list,
I have two vectors x and x2:
x=runif(10)
x2=runif(10)
and one vectors with their names :
my.names=c("x","x2")
I would like to cbind these two vectors using their names contained in the
vector my.names.
I can create a string with comma
ncomma=paste(my.names,collapse=",")
and now, I just need a function to transform this string into a adequate

Multiple operations on list
Hello,
suppose I have a list with matrices:
a=list(x1=matrix(rnorm(10),5,2),x2=matrix(rnorm(10),5,2),x3=matrix(rnorm(10),5,2))
I want to compute for all combination of xi and xj (x1,x2 x1,x3 and x2,x3)
a value.
This value is given for the pair x1,x2 by trace(x1%*%t(x1)%*%x2%*%t(x2)) /
trace(x1%*%t(x1))*trace(x2%*%t(x2))
I know that product matrices t(xi)%*%xi can be obtained by:

Create pdf and postscript files
Hello,
I would like to learn how to create a pdf and a postscript file from an R
graphic.
For example, I tried :
plot(1) # example
pdf("H:/Perso/essai.pdf")
postscript("H:/Perso/essai.ps")
But the pdf document created is empty.
How do these functions work ?
Thank you very much.

R 2.7 package.skeleton
Hi the devel list
I am testing package.skeleton in R 2.7 (download today). I get an error
that I do not understand. I guess it is not an error from my code since
I have no probleme when I source it. So is it a error in
package.skeleton?
Here is my code :

Argument as.integer(NA) to a function C
Hi the list,
I am writing a R function that call a C function. The C function needs
integers but I do not manage to give a NA integer as argument :
--- C code ---
void essai(int *t){
Rprintf("\nT0=%i T1=%i T2=%i T3=%i",t[0],t[1],t[2],t[3]);
}
--- R ---
boub <- c(1,2,3,4)
.C("pour",as.integer(boub),NAOK=TRUE)
# T0=1 T1=2 T2=3 T3=4[[1]]
# [1] 1 2 3 4

real eigenvectors
Hello list,
Sorry, these questions are not directly linked to R.
If I consider an indefinte real matrix, I would like to know if the
symmetry of the matrix is sufficient to say that their eigenvectors are real ?
And what is the conditions to ensure that eigenvectors are real in the case
of an asymmetric matrix (if some conditions exist)?
Thanks in Advance,

Generate a matrix Q satisfying t(Q)%*%Q=Z and XQ=W
Hello,
I have a question that is not directly related to R ... but I try to do it
in R ;-) :
I would like to generate a matrix Q satisfying (for a given Z, X and W) the
two following conditions:
t(Q)%*%Q=Z (1)
XQ=W (2)
where:
Q is m rows and r columns
X is p rows and m columns
D is p rows and r columns
C is r rows and r columns
with m>p,r
e.g:
m=6,
p=2
r=3

orthonormalization with weights
Hello List,
I would like to orthonormalize vectors contained in a matrix X taking into
account row weights (matrix diagonal D). ie, I want to obtain Z=XA with
t(Z)%*%D%*%Z=diag(1)
I can do the Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization with subsequent weighted
regressions. I know that in the case of uniform weights, qr can do the
trick. I wonder if there is a way to do it in the case of non uniform

binding rows from different matrices
Hello list,
I have 3 matrices with same dimension :
> veca=matrix(1:25,5,5)
> vecb=matrix(letters[1:25],5,5)
> vecc=matrix(LETTERS[1:25],5,5)
I would like to obtain a new matrix composed by alternating rows of these
different matrices (row 1 of mat 1, row 1 of mat 2, row 1 of mat 3, row 2
of mat 1.....)
I have found a solution to do it but it is not very pretty and I wonder if

writing polygons/segments to shapefiles (.shp) or other ArCGIS compatible file
I am not sure a previous e-mail reached the list (no mail aknowledgement from R-boundle etc.). The question was how to write polygon

the documentation is a bit beyond of my mind.... and I cannot get the meaning of the functions write**** and its application to the
case

ade4
Dear All,
I am using the scatter.dudi finction in the 'ade4' package to produce
correspondence analysis (nice) plots.
I do not seem to figure out how to plot the raw coordinates only -- or column
coordinates only. I would appreciate any help in doing that.
Here is the example I am following -- from the package.
