randomForest: more than one variable needed?
Hi, I am doing feature selection for my dataset. The following is the extreme case where only one feature is left. But I got the error below. So my question is that do I have to use more than one features? sample.subset udomain.edu hpclass 1 -1.0 not 2 -1.0 not 3 -0.2 not 4 1.0 hp 5 1.0 hp > randomForest(hpclass ~.,

Random Forest:how to do an automatic rerun using only the important variables
Hi, I am using the Random Forest Package, and want to do an automatic rerun using only those variables that were most important in the original run. Is there anybody who has experience with this and can give me helpful suggestions? Error in names(x) <- value: 'names' attribute must be the same length as the vector
Dear R-helpers, I am stuck on an error in R: When I run my code (below), I get this error back: Error in names(x) <- value : 'names' attribute must be the same length as the vector Then when I use traceback(), R gives me back this in return: `colnames<-`(`*tmp*`, value = c(""Item", "Color" ,"Number", "Size")) I'm not exactly

some question regarding random forest
Hi, I had two questions regarding random forests for regression. 1) I have read the original paper by Breiman as well as a paper dicussing an application of random forests and it appears that the one of the nice features of this technique is good predictive ability. However I have some data with which I have generated a linear model using lm(). I can get an RMS error of 0.43 and an R^2 of

Tim, Thanks for the hint. Usermap for root applied, locally made requests fail now systematically with "Could not connect to server <server address> Connection failed: NT_STATUS_LOCK_NOT_GRANTED" It is kind of improvement :) Random things scare me. -Tom On Tue, Mar 24, 2015 at 7:40 PM, Tim <lists at kiuni.de> wrote: > Hi Tom, > > have a look at this: >

(Re-posting to list also.. Sorry forgot Cc. -Tom) Marc, Thanks for your help and clarifications. I was indeed addressing the domain controller (2012 R2) due to my misunderstanding. Addressing the request at the file server (Samba 4) to the file server fails too but with different errors. Rights list succeeds. $ net rpc rights list accounts -UDOMAIN\\Administrator Enter

Re: Reg: Adding "edu" device using XML file
Hello Han, Thanks for the response. The XML option with qemu:commandline works if the device is added during the VM creation. But I would like to hot-plug the device to the running VM. I can add the device using the command line <virsh qemu-monitor-command --hmp VM-Name device_add edu,id=edu0> But I would like to add the device using the XML file, like <virsh attach-device VM-Name

Can RH AS3 be a ADS member with winbind+nss+krb5?
Samba is trying to be a member server in an AD in native mode, using winbind, nss, and kerberose. There are 3 kdc's (2 are Win2003, 1 is Win2000), samba server is RH-AS3 + Samba version 3.0.9 (from samba.org) + krb5 1.3.1-6 (from Fedora Core). I thought I had things working (join succeeded, could access shares, modify files), and then it stopped working. After clearing out the host account

Improve hot cold splitting to aggressively outline small blocks
Hello, I am Ruijie Fang, a GSoC student working on "Improve hot cold splitting to aggressively outline small blocks." Over the course of last week, I met with my mentor and co-mentor, Aditya Kumar, and Rodrigo Rocha, and we made a preliminary plan on improving the existing hot/cold splitting pass in LLVM through identifying patterns of cold blocks in real-world workloads via block

Where can I find the slirp-helper?
For the libvirt 5.8 release, I find that there is a new comment in qemu.conf: #slirp_helper = "/usr/bin/slirp-helper" It indicates that there is a slirp-helper to help setup slirp network. But I cannot find it even after I built the latest qemu(v4.1.0-1378-g98b2e3c9ab) and libvirt (v5.9.0-rc1-2-g73f91d659b). Could you please tell me where I can find that helper program? Thanks --

Improve hot cold splitting to aggressively outline small blocks
Hi Teresa, Thank you for your reply! I discussed this with Aditya and Rodrigo today about this. We will always have PGO turned on for our benchmark, (i.e. we assume the profiling information is always available). In terms of the workload we supply to PGO: For postgresql, I suggested we use the "pgbench" benchmark, a TPC-B-based SQL benchmark for postgres, to supply profiling information

circular correlation
I have a problem that deals with correlating wind velocity to seed collection data. The problem lies in that I have a wind data set that is contains 2000+ data points and weed collection data on the order of a couple hundred. Both data sets were collected for the same time period, but there is not a one-to-one wind velocity->seed location match. My understanding of correlation is that you

Unable to get virtual users set up with database auth
I can't seem to get imap virtual users to work with database authentication on new Scientific Linux 6.5 server with Sendmail 8.14.4 & Dovecot 2.0.9 Apparently I have to also create system users because sendmail/procmail/dovecot want to check directory ownership. So I created a database, made entry for the user, created the user chayes on the system. But %u always contains just chayes

Dial plan questions
I'm afraid I'm quite confused by what I've found on the Wiki. I have the following dial plan that works: exten => 2201,1,Dial(sip/2201@gs1.uucp,20,) exten => 2201,2,Voicemail(u2201) exten => 2201,3,Hangup exten => 2201,102,voicemail(b2201) exten => 2201,104,hangup When the phone is in use it goes to voice mail as busy. When not picked up, as
