REXML vs libxml
Hi all, I''ve been looking at the performance of my fb app and one glaring issue seems to be with the parsing speed of rexml in processing the results. Has anyone looked into porting the facebooker parser from rexml to libxml? If not, any reason I shouldn''t try? Thanks! RFC: FileCheck Enhancements
Hi, I have question again about modifiers for pattern parameters. Vedant suggested such way. > CHECK-DEFINE-PATTERN: one_or_more(x): x {{+}} But I have some doubts. This should be equal to x+. This approach differs from standard one. In FileCheck I can write CHECK: {{x|y}}{{something}} This line will be equal to regex (x|y)(something). But if I use suggested approach and write same

[LLVMdev] arguments to standard library functions
HI , I understand that the standard C library functions are executed using the native library of the host machine. ( for example when we execute a bytecode to extract the profile info ) Is it possible to extract for each standard library function that is executed , the arguments that the function is called with. For example if printf ("%d", some_int ) when called during runtime

[PATCH 00/13] x86/paravirt: Make pv ops code generation more closely match reality
This changes the pv ops code generation to more closely match reality. For example, instead of: callq *0xffffffff81e3a400 (pv_irq_ops.save_fl) vmlinux will now show: pushfq pop %rax nop nop nop nop nop which is what the runtime version of the code will show in most cases. This idea was suggested by Andy Lutomirski. The benefits are: - For the most common runtime cases

[LLVMdev] Newbie question: LLVM IR, printf, and varargs
Whoops... Seems I forgot the asterisk (*) after the cast. Or something. Because I did insert the cast and it didn't work. But NOW it works. Thank you for spending some time on this - and also for presenting the solution. -- Mikael 2013/12/4 Eli Bendersky <eliben at google.com> > This code: > > declare i32 @printf(i8* nocapture readonly, ...) nounwind > > define

[PATCH 0/15] adjust pvops to accomodate its x86_64 variant
Hi folks, With this series, the bulk of the work of pvops64 is done. Here, I integrate most of the paravirt.c and paravirt.h files, making them applicable to both architectures. CONFIG_PARAVIRT is _not_ present yet. Basically, this code is missing page table integration (patches currently being worked on by Jeremy). Enjoy

The ttest.c example in R under MS Windows
We are trying to compile and run the ttest.c example that comes with R (in C:\Program Files\R\rw1081\src\library\windlgs\src\ttest.c). After compiling it with MS Visual C++ we load the DLL with dyn.load. So far it seems good, but when we try to call it from R (after running C:\Program Files\R\rw1081\src\library\windlgs\R\windlgs.R) R crashes. We have tried changing the exports from DLL but have

How to write efficient R code
I have been lurking in this list a while and searching in the archives to find out how one learns to write fast R code. One solution seems to be to write part of the code not in R but in C. However after finding a benchmark article (http://www.sciviews.org/other/benchmark.htm) I have been more interested in making the R code itself more efficient. I would like to find more info about this. I have

How to cancel an effect
Hi all, I have a situation where I want to display an error message, and have it fade away after a 2 second delay. My problem is an impatient user could click buttons so fast that multiple Fade effects will be in play. I believe script.aculo.us can supports canceling existing effects before starting a new one, but couldn''t find any examples. I tried something like this but it
