Publication LLVM Related Publications Submission
Dear Mihail,
I've added these two publications to the publications page. Please
review it and let me know if I need to make any changes. In particular,
if you have URLs to use for the papers, having those would be greatly
appreciated.
Regards,
John Criswell

Publication LLVM Related Publications Submission
Hello,
I would like to submit two papers that use LLVM to the
Related Publications section.
Both papers focus on code isolation
applied to perform piecewise compiler optimizations.
The code isolation
process is performed by CERE, an open source tool based on LLVM.
The
second paper is an extended version of the first one.

We have a position available for an experienced R programmer to provide support
for software development for statnet, a suite of R packages for Exponential
Random Graph Modeling (http://statnet.org -- most content is on the wiki). The
current statnet development team includes several PhD level statisticians, some
faculty from other disciplines, and an independent software developer. Funding

Hello,
We have published two papers which build upon the LLVM
Compiler Infrastructure. Would it be possible to include them in the
LLVM related publications at http://llvm.org/pubs/ ?
I attach below
the bibliographic references:

Video Annotation
Hi I am a student from the University of the Philippines. I want to annotate
some e-learning videos
which also enables textual searches.
I plan to use CMML however I cant find any tutorial. I tried to access
annodex.net but it seems to be under construction.
Could you please provide tutorials on developing application using such,
or give me atleast any related materials to read on.

iteration introspection?
Hi everyone,
I want to perform a regex substitution on line #1 in a file based on the
contents of line #2. same is true for line 11 and line 12 etc...
With the look at each line of a file rolling forward method it seems to
me that I will not be able to use iterators like 'each' for this
operation unless I am able to manipulate or even know of the position of
the file pointer from

Debian patched 3.6.6 winbindd fails.
Hi there,
I manage a Samba installation which has been operating very well on
Debian Wheezy for a number of years. Up until last week I was running
3.6.25, which (as always until now) I compiled myself. Because of the
large number of changes in the recent security patches, I opted to try
the Debian 'samba' and 'winbind' packages. I was a little horrified
to find that Debian is

Porting "unmaintained" packages to post R 2.10.0 era
Hi all,
I am trying to re-compile some "unmaintained" (it seems) packages, namely rSoNIA
and dynamicnetwork from:
http://csde.washington.edu/~skyebend/rsonia/rsoniaDemo/
These packages predates R 2.10.0 so they need to be recompile.
After split the single big file in /man in each packages into a file for each
function + some minor fix, I successfully manage to recompile and load

Understood. I'm working on getting Gentoo's configuration defaults changed.

Windows XP and Samba
We have a local network with Samba 2.0.3 on SuSE-Linux and some
Windows 95 and Windows 98 clients. All works fine.
Now we have got a new Windows XP computer, and we found no way
to connect to the Samba server from that computer.
1. The network card works. I can ping the server, and it replies.
2. The Samba server as well as the Windows XP computer are shown
in the network neighbourhood.

I did. My Gentoo samba service scripts starts smbd and nmbd. Oh. Ugh.
Sorry. Found an untweaked option in the samba service script
configuration file--that I had apparently known about while setting up
the AD DC--which was necessary to start

Gcc 3.4.0 and syslinux-2.09 menu
The menu directory won't compile with gcc 3.4.0 because gcc complains
that "ebp" cannot be used as a constraint. If preserving ebp is
necessary then it will have to be done in the assembler code. Gcc 3.3.3
just seems to ignore the constraint. It didn't do anything special to
preserve the register.
I also noticed that getnumrows returns the contents of 0x484 which is
