Using JRI and Java 1.6 on MAC OS X
Dear R-Help,
I am trying to get JRI (the rJava interface allowing Java to connect
to R) to work. I was able to run it a week ago when I was doing some
testing using Java 1.5. However, I am developing a GUI application
using some of the new Java 1.6 features and I just can't get JRI to
work with this setup.
Here is what I get:
Cannot find JRI native library!
Please make sure that the JRI

Compiling libR as a standalone C library for java+jni (-fPIC)
(cross-posted on SO: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78022766)
Hi all,
I'm trying to compile R as a static library with the -fPIC flag so I can use it within java+JNI (is it only possible ?), but I cannot find the right flags in '.configure' to compile R this way.
I tested various flags but I cannot find the correct syntax.
for now, my latest attempt was
```
rm -rvf?
using R in a java application
Dear All,
I'd like to write a little application in java wich should pass some commands and data to R and displays the results (tables and charts) in a java frame. First I wanted to work with Omegahat's SJava but had lots of issues already at the installation.
Then I heard some rumors that SJava generally is not a very active project and runs rather buggy (that's true?). So my
Import R-output into Java
Hello,
I want to import R-output via Rserve to Java, especially for the function
ctree from the package party.
Rserve is working properly.
Yet, I only get the predictions with the Java code
try{
RConnection c = new RConnection();
...
c.voidEval("modell <- ctree(...)");
REXP y = c.eval("nodes(modell,1)[[1]]$prediction");
java and R. I have a front end in java and i need to call R functions and be
came across some tools like SJava and rserve...but am not sure which best
suits my application. Your suggestion will be really helpful.
Thanks,
java bindings 1.0.0 - jni.h not found
Hi all,
I am new to Xapian and want to use it with Java. In order to do that I tried
to compile the Java bindings. I set XAPIAN_CONFIG and invoked "configure".
However "./configure --with-java" exits with an error.
Point of failure:
Calling R function from Java
Hi - I would like to have the same functionality like what R(D)COM server offers but from Java world. I have java code (on windows) and need to call some R code to run some computational job and get the result back into java code. I'm wondering if there's any direct package that offers this functionality? Thank you.
Calling R functions from Java
Hey guys,
I got a java gui app which loads up data into a table. How can i use R
to perform statistical functions on the data in the table?
P.S My question is not particularly geared towards Java coding, but
more towards allowing R functionality within Java.
R from Java (cluster heatmaps)
Hello All,
I am trying to get cluster heatmaps using R from Java in my application.
I got the Rserve using which I am able to make TCP/IP connection to R.
I am trying to send a double[][] array (say 5x8 dimensions) to R and convert
it into matrix using as.matrix() function in R. Is it correct to do this?
Can I directly pass this array to dist() function to generate the distance
matrix ? if not
[LLVMdev] convert java to c by llvm
Hi,
my c++ code have to call some functions coded by java. In the beginning, I
call those functions by jni.
Unfortunately, jni has lots of performance loss, so it can't meets my needs.
I wandor if I can convert these java codes to c/c++ by llvm. First, I
convert java words to llvm bytecode, then covert llvm bytecodes to c/c++.
I am a green hand of LLVM and compilers. So tt's very
Java?
I'd be happy to (help) port the source to Java. How many lines of code are
we talking?
If preferable, I could just do a front-end to a JNI interface to flac.
My function and NA Values Problem
Dear R Staff
My working file is in the annex. "g1.csv"
I have only 2 columns. Rice and coke.
I try to execute following(below) function, but do not work.
Because "Coke" value has NA values.
I try to add "na.rm=True" to the function but do not work
How can I solve this problem with this function or another algorithm?
(Note: I have normally 450 columns)
Sincerely
Count non-zero values in excluding NA Values
Dear R Staff
You can see my data.csv file in the annex.
I try to count non-zero values in dataset but I need to exclude NA in this
calculation
My code is very long (following),
How can I write this code more efficiently and shortly?
## [NA_Count] - Find NA values
data.na =sapply(data[,3:ncol(data)], function(c) sum(length(which(is.na
(c)))))
## [Zero] - Find zero values
Testing for 1.2beta2
Hi everyone,
I'm planning on releasing Speex 1.2beta2 in the next few days. I'd
appreciate if everyone could try and test the current svn to make sure
no bug crept in for your favourite plarform/application.
Cheers,
[LLVMdev] Introducing myself, and Java project.
You probably want to sit down and have a long talk with Jeroen Frijters, the
principal behind the IKVM project.
Note that you will have to deal with ClassLoaders at some level, regardless
of what you'd prefer.
Questions on libguestfs-java
Hi,
When using the libguestfs-java bindings, java.library.path should point to
the place the JNI stuff resides in. In [1] it was suggested to set it
to /usr/local/lib
but apparently, it is deployed elsewhere in other distributions, right? so
I wonder what is the recommended way of setting it in a Java application
that could execute on various distributions.
Additionally, the libguestfs-java
