Some llvm questions (for tgsi backend)
Hi,
After a few distractions I'm back to work on the llvm tgsi backend. I've
added clang integration and I can now compile a simple opencl program
to something which sort of looks like tgsi.
You can find my latest work on this here:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~jwrdegoede/llvm
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~jwrdegoede/clang
(the latter may still need to sync)
I've a little test

Segfault on ".C" registration via R_CMethodDef according to 'Writing R Extensions'.
Dear R List,
I encountered a serious problem regarding the registration of ".C" when following the documentation "Writing R Extensions"
that leads to a segmentation fault (tested on windows and mac os x).
The registration mechanism for ".C" routines via R_registerRoutines and
the R_CMethodDef structure has been enhanced recently with the
addition of two fields, one

running JPEG device on R 1.9.1 using xvfb-run on Linux
Hi there,
Does anybody have experience in running jpeg device using xvfb-run on
linux? I've been having sporadic problem with: /usr/X11/bin/xvfb-run
/usr/bin/R --no-save < Rinput.txt, with error saying: error in X11
connection. Especially when I run it from a perl script.
Is there a better way of doing this? or how can I fix the problem.
Thanks in advance!

Dealing with opencl kernel parameters in nouveau now that RES support is gone
Well the pipe_loader stuff is buggy in compute.c, I can't even
create a screen object... That's sad. It fails in pipe_loader_probe() & co.

Callbacks seems to get GCed.
Dear list,
I am trying to implement a publish-subscribe mechanism in for an embedded
R interpreter. But somehow my registered closures seem to get collected by
the GC, even though I have protected them. I have reducted my code to the
following sample. Sorry if it is a little verbose.
The first couple of call of calls still work, but at some point one of the
callbacks (callback1 in my

maximum elements in an ff object?
Hello all,
I hate to add to the daily queries regarding R's handling of large
datsets ;), but...
I read in an online powerpoint about the ff package something about
the "length of an ff object" needing to be smaller than
.Machine$integer.max. Does anyone know if this means that the # of
elements in an ff object must be < .Machine$integer.max [i.e., that ff

Accessing C++ code from R
Hi,
I am trying to use existing C++ code from R. I have no problems
compiling C code and using it in R, but with C++ I'm running into
problems.
Here's the compiler output:
Macintosh-10:~/Desktop/dissertation/Model - CPP version/R labguest$
g++ -I/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/include
-I/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/include/i386 *.cpp
