RWinEdt patch
Hi:
I just tried to install the patch for RWinEdt - there is an automated package ('SWinRegistry' ) which with the rwinedt patch on the CRAN site have to be loaded as packages from R using the local zip drive option.
That works fine. The next step is to call the library(RwinEdt) and this does'nt work out ... the meesages i get are:

I am attempting to use R through WinEdt. I installed the SWinRegistry

RWinEdt, other text editors and R2.01 a problem in pasting commands
Dear All,
In the last few days I started using the last version of R as I
encountered a problem with R1.9 and the use of RWinEdt, however the
problem shows with R2.01 as well. More precisely
1. I install R2.01 after removing old verions of R
2. I Install RWinEdt package versione RWinEdt_1.6-2 and
SWinRegistry_0.3-2 and everything seems fine
3. I recall the RWinEdt library (library(RWinEdt)) and

RWinEdt, R.profile and version 1.9.0
Hi,
I have just upgraded from the 1.8.1 to the 1.9.0 version of R, and have some trouble to run RWinEdt from the .Rprofile file (in the
user folder). The script is:
library(MASS)
library(lattice)
cat("Load editor?(y/n default = y): ")
nf <- as.character(readLines(n = 1))
if ((nf=="y")|(nf=="Y")|(nf=="")) {library(RWinEdt)}
rm(nf)
When run at start,

New version of R-WinEdt (for Windows)
There was a user request to announce this new version (1.6-0) of
R-WinEdt (actually, the request was to announce version 1.5-1). It is
propagating through CRAN these days and (is|will be) available at
yourCRANmirror/contrib/extra/winedt/
For those who have not already noticed the changes since R-WinEdt 1.4-x,
I'd like to summarize the changes below. The most exciting one is the

R-WinEdt problems
Hello,
I've done most all the various steps outlined in a
recent posting to the mailing list archives
(and in the help files) to load and run R-WinEdt. I
can get it to run fine but I am not successful in
getting it to interface with RGui (1.6.2, not
minimized). I try to use the R-line, R-source,
R-paste buttons with no success. [All the necessary
*.edt files appear to be in the proper

Winedt and R on Windows XP
Dear All;
I have used Winedt editor in conjunction with R on the Win2K
platform for more than a year without any problem. Recently I purchased a P4
machine with Windows XP. Following the installation of R1.62 and WinEdt 5.3
to separate directories, I copied R-WinEdt to the Plugins subdirectory under
the Winedt directory, clicked on the "install" file and edited the Rprofile

text editor for R - summary on R-WinEdt
I implemented Uwe's R-WinEdt package as a closer to true WinEdt mode so that
WinEdt could be used with other modes as well. I sent Uwe the
implementation and we talked a little about cleaning it up, but I haven't
gotten around to it and I don't think he has either. It is still a little
messy as Uwe noted below but it works well. There is no code changes, just

strange results with dmvnorm
I am experiencing strange results using dmvnorm. I define a scaled distance
matrix from the coordinates bellow and then calculate a covariance matrix using
a spherical correlation function. Then with certain combinations of
range and sill parameters dmvnorm is returning values greater than 1. Surely
the results of dmvnorm should be in the interval 0:1 (or do I just nead a
holiday?). In addition

If you have a crash which gives a core dump you can use something like

sadly it doesn't go on to say how to enable if core dumps are disabled.
I understand that in bash I need to do

non-linear trends in kriging model
Hi
I am struggling to fit a non-linear trend using the
likfit function in geoR.
Specifically I want a sigmoidal function, something
like SSfpl in the nls package to fit the trend. But
it seems trend.spatial in geoR only works with lm or
glm type models.
Any ideas how I can specify the model to calculate the
kriging parameters using REML, including the
parameters of a sigmoidal trend function

R-WinEdt question - answer
The answer to my question was contained in
http://cran.r-project.org/contrib/extra/winedt/ReadMe ,
although it helped to receive the restatements that were emailed to me.
As mentioned by Uwe Ligges, Renuad Lancelot, Niels Waller, my mistake was
not starting R before
using R-WindEdt.
Below I will copy the instructions on using R-WinEdt by Renaud Lancelot

I installed R-WinEdit according to the instructions, including those for
