Workflow to commit changes using git alone (?)
Hi All, Ok, just for the matter of providing feedback that may be useful for others, I figured out one way to do it based on the setup that I described earlier. It can be something like this git checkout patchbranch # checkout to the patch branch, this is the one containing the differential patch code git checkout -b tmp # checkout to a new tmp branch git reset —soft master

Floating point semantic modes
About ftrapping-math: I think we should eliminate ftrapping-math, a boolean option, because it overlaps with ffp-exception-behavior, a 3 valued option. Or we can keep it in the clang driver for compatibility, but it should be rewritten by clang driver into ffp-exception-behavior=ignore and ffp-exception-behavior=strict. There are various fields in llvm and/or clang that maintain Boolean

[RFC] Add support for options -fp-model= and -fp-speculation= : specify floating point behavior
Intel would like to contribute a patch to implement support for these Intel- and Microsoft -fp options. This message is to describe the options and request feedback from the community. -fp-model=[precise|strict|fast|except[-]] and -fp-speculation=[fast|strict|safe] This contribution would dovetail with the llvm patch "Teach the IRBuilder about constrained fadd and friends" which is

Best Approach to a ''Down for Maintenance'' Page?
What is the best way to implement a ''Down for Maintenance'' page across your Rails app? Ideally I would like to have a button in my admin section that toggles the display of a ''currently under maintenance'' page to every public request to the app (possibly with some dynamic content like estimated down-time) except for: - - requests from a specified IP

application controller security
Shouldn''t everything in the application controller be protected by default? I just realized that my app can be called like this: www.myapp.com/application/method and it actually tries to run that method inside my application controller. Is everyone else just adding "protected" at the top? Thanks, Chad --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this

Combining fast math flags with constrained intrinsics

The mental model that I have is that there is always an FP_CONTRACT pragma: there's some default (implicit) pragma at the beginning, and what it says (off/on/fast) is controlled by the command-line flags (or the driver's default if no flags

> ... math errno ... I wouldn't recommend to anyone that they should rely on math errno (because I don't trust libraries to correctly support it). My goal here was to incorporate our existing support for it into the rest of what I'm trying to document. My understanding is that for clang this primarily controls whether or not we feel free to substitute intrinsics for recognized

rpmbuild environment CentOS5 vs CentOS6
On CentOS5 I was used to create a simple spec file where at the end I'll declare files and directories I wan't to package: --< Snip >-- %files %dir /opt/myapp %dir /opt/myapp/bin %dir /opt/myapp/etc /opt/myapp/bin/exec01 /opt/myapp/etc/myapp.conf ---- I'll copy the file in /usr/src/redhat/SPECS and run "rpmbuild -bb myapp.spec". On CentOS6 rpm-build package no longer

Backgroundrb weirdness with multiple mongrels
Hi list, I''m having some issues getting backgroundrb to play nice with more than one mongrel. When I run my app on a single mongrel instance it works fine. Something like this: Dim dbs As DAO.Database Dim rst As DAO.Recordset Dim myApp As StatConnector Set myApp = New StatConnector myApp.GetErrorText myApp.Init "R" myApp.EvaluateNoReturn "library(RODBC)" myApp.EvaluateNoReturn
