Difficulty with formatting scatter.smooth output
Hello, I have been using scatter.smooth and been trying to format my plots and been unable to adjust the line type or color of the smooth curve. When I specify col in scatter.smooth, I can adjust the color of the scatter plot points, but the line always stays black and solid. lty has no effect. scatter.smooth() fitted by loess
Hi there, I would like to draw a scatter plot and fit a smooth line by loess. Below is the data. However, the curve line started from 0, which my "resid" list doesn't consist of 0 value. Hopefully an easy error bar question
Hi im trying to add error bars to my barplots, there very basic, i have a few grapghs where the y variable is different but on all the X variable is Age (Adult and Juvenile) however this is split into two levels so i have males and females, so my graph basically has four bars on it. getting panel.loess to use updated version of loess.smooth

loess.smooth dumps core
Has the loess.smooth() function changed? It used to work, but now it causes R to abort with a segmentation fault. I stole the function points.lines() from V&R 1st ed. pp. 67--68, but now it only works if I remove the line with loess.smooth. Trouble with 'smooth' using xyplot in lattice

Forcing ticks in plot for hclust object outside the limits
Hello! I have the following problem. I would like to plot the hclust object "hcd" (bellow, at the end of the mail) with ticks at seq(0.05,0.25,by=0.05).
