delay() has been deprecated for 2.1.0
After a bunch of discussion in the core group, we have decided to
deprecate the delay() function (which was introduced as "experimental"
in R 0.50). This is the function that duplicates in R code the
delayed evaluation mechanism (the promise) that's used in evaluating
function arguments.
The problem with delay() was that it was handled inconsistently (e.g.

searching R-help within a function
Hi,
I am working on a package which requires separate documentation
(tutorial documentation, really, with a lot of beautifully
latexed equations), and does not use R-help. I am trying to
make it so that my help function will automatically search
R-help if the help topic isn't found in my documentation.
The function looks something like this:

Proper handling of incoming IAX/SIP callerids to be able to call back - why is calleridnum stripping dots out of number ?
Hi,
I'd like to organize my Asterisk to properly handle incoming SIP/IAX/H323
callerids so they can be called back if needed.
I have three incoming contexts for sip, iax and h323 calls.
To each incoming call I'd like to prepend certain number that will be
catched with pattern matching on output calls. For instance for iax I have:
[from-iax]
exten => s,1,NoOp(IAX call from outside

Problem in loading all packages all at once
Hi All
Please see the Rprofile file which i have modified as follows and after
that when I start R then I see that R says to me "TRUE" for all the
packages implying that all loaded at once.
But when i try to use commands as simple as help("lm"), it doesnt work nor
any of the menu "Packages" is not working.
Although the regression using lm ( Y ~ X ) is working

Asterisk to sip client behind Firewall/NAT-cancall but cannot receive calls ?
As far as I can remember I only opened sip and tftp ports for the phone.
For some reason (didn't look into it too much) the call stays with sip
and doesn't use RTP.
The problem you describe (the call doesn't even ring on the other side)
is something I had and was solved by upgrading the firmware.
Checkpoint's tracker explicitly said what connection attempts were
blocked and why.

Fwd: [grosjo/fts-xapian] `doveadm fts rescan` removes all indices (#15)
Hi,
THis is a core problem in Dovecot in my understanding.
In my opinion, the rescan in dovecot should send to the FTS plugin the
list of "supposedly" indexed emails (UID), and the plugin shall purge
the redundant UID (i..e UID present in the index but not in the list
sent by dovecot) and send back the list of UID not in its indexes to
dovecot, so Dovect can send one by one the

[grosjo/fts-xapian] `doveadm fts rescan` removes all indices (#15)
In such case, as long as the API is not upgraded, should
doveadm index -A -q \*
be considered a replacement of
doveadm fts rescan

Asterisk to sip client behind Firewall/NAT - cancall but cannot receive calls ?
Check your FW-1 tracker and see if any sip packets are dropped during
call initiation.
I had this problem and it went away when I upgraded the BT's firmware to
the latest (16).
Beware, though, that people on the list claim that this firmware breaks
functionality of the message button and autoanswer.
I haven't checked this yet, cause I can't afford to go back a version.

Any experience with Linksys WRT54GP2 as localextensions to Asterisk ?
While we have not been able to get our hands on this model yet (we have
the other Linksys models) the Linksys voice products are based on the
sipura technologies ATA and will work. I was under the impression that
the only shipping WRT54GP2's are provisioned and locked to ATT (for
now).
Also keep in mind that you must be an ITSP and get authorized by
cisco/Linksys to be able to buy all Linksys
