[LLVMdev] Publication Generation of TLM Testbenches Using Mutation Testing
Dear all,
I would like to share a paper I co-authored with Prof. Alper Sen. This
paper describes an algorithm to generate testbenches from SystemC
models represented with LLVM IR. It was accepted and presented at
International Conference on Hardware/Software Codesign and System
Synthesis (CODES/ISSS), 2012. A link to the paper is accessible from
acm or Alper's website:

Multilevel Modeling using glmmPQL
Hi,
I'm trying to perform a power simulation for a simple multilevel
model, using the function glmmPQL in R version 2.8.1. I want to extract
the p-value for the fixed-effects portion of the regression, but I'm
having trouble doing that. I can extract the coefficients
(summary(fit)$coeff), and the covariance matrix (summary(fit)$varFix),
but I can't grab the p-value (or the

Flac File Size
Hi,
I have a big flac file, i can divide this flac file into chunks by visual basic code, i can add header to these chunks by copying first 1K to other chunks, but chunks can not play properly, i think i need to change filesize from file headers of these chunks, i can read samplerate and samples count from header, but i do not know how can i calculate file size without reading all file, what

need palette of topographic colors similar to topo.colors()
Dear useRs,
I got stuck trying to generate a palette of topographic colors that
would satisfy these two requirements:
- the pallete must be 'anchored' at 0 (just like on a map), with
light blue/lawn green corresponding to data values close to 0 (dark
blue to light blue for negative values, green-yellow-brown for
positive values)
- the brown must get darker for higher positive

Ubuntu 12.04 64bit + Wine 1.5.3 (or 1.4) + .NET Framework3.0
First of all it's clean installation of Kubuntu 12.04 64-bit.
Then:
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine1.5
Then I got a 32-bit wine environment:
Code:
rm -rf .wine
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine winecfg
Then I tried to install .NET Framework3.0:
Code:
wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks dotnet30

Possible bug with chromatic adaptation in grDevices::convertColor
It appears that the chromatic adaptation feature of `grDevices::convertColor`is broken, and likely has been for many years.? While a little surprising, it is an obscure enough feature that there is some possibility this is actually broken, as opposed to user error on my part.? If it turns out to the latter, I apologize in advance for spamming this list.
Consider:

overlaid filled contour plots
I'm trying to make a set of contour plots of bivariate kernel density
estimates, showing three such plots overlaid,
similar to this plot
http://euclid.psych.yorku.ca/SCS/Private/Test/ridge-boot2.pdf
except that I would like to have the contours *filled* (using
transparent colors). To make this reproducible, I've
saved the results of KernSmooth::bkde2D() in the following file:

[LLVMdev] Publication: LLVMVF: A Generic Approach for Verification of Multicore Software
Dear all,
I'm happy to share a recent publication on a bounded model checker for
concurrent programs represented in LLVM IR that integrates the verification
framework that I'm developing:

of Multicore Software. Journal of Electronic Testing: Theory and
Applications, September 2013. (

Although this would indeed be nice, it is not done by similar platforms
in practice. I have investigated [very] briefly into whether the

IronRuby's Marshal.dump doesn't work with CLR types, or ruby types backed by a CLR type
Backstory: I''m trying to use DRb for some in-house utility code. DRb
itself seems to work fine, but I found that when I misspelled a method
name, instead of reporting back a NoMethodError, the IronRuby process
crashed immediately to the console.
This is using a relatively recent build of IronRuby from Github
Steps to repro:
e = RuntimeError.new ''xyz''

p-value calculation
hello everybody
i'm very new at using R so probably this is a very stupid question.
I have a problem calculating a p-value. When i do this with excel i
can use the method CHIDIST for 1.2654 with 1 freedom degree i get the
answer 0.261
i just want to do the same thing in R but i can't find a method.
can somebody help me
friendly regards

FW: [Fwd: Re: [S] Exact p-values]
Dear all
Just for fun, I have just downloaded the paper mentioned below and checked
it with R-1.6.1.
Everything is ok with exception of Table 2b, where I get always 1 instead of
0.5:

[1] 1
Which value should be correct?
Best regards

Instructions with no operand
Hi all,
I am trying to implement an instruction with no operand for example "clr"
in TableGen.

e.g.

class TestInst<string opc, string asmstr, dag oops, dag iops,
list<dag> pattern> : Instruction { ... }
def int_no_operand : Intrinsic<[]>;
class ALU<string opc> : TestInst<opc,

Symbol Font Baseline, Cairo, Card Symbols
I think I found a bug in the Cairo library, plus weird behavior in
both the Cairo and the normal pdf device. The baseline of the spades
symbol seems to be off. This is easier to show than it is to explain.
The problem does not appear in the normal pdf device, which is why I
am guessing this is a Cairo bug. moreover, I cannot figure out why
three of the card symbols seem to be transparent, but

.NET 2.0 fails compiling assemblies on OSX
I'm running 1.1.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.4.
I have searched about this issue and found nothing and people are running .net apps fine so I think this is a particular problem with Darwine (osx build)
.NET installs fine via winetricks and then I can run simple .net apps like QuickGUIDGen, but having a look to the NGen log I noticed there were no assemblies installed (It's supposed to install

p-values
HI R-users,
I am trying to repeat an example from Rayner and Best "A contingency
table approach to nonparametric testing (Chapter 7, Ice cream example).
In their book they calculate Durbin's statistic, D1, a dispersion
statistics, D2, and a residual. P-values for each statistic is
calculated from a chi-square distribution and also Monte Carlo p-values.
I have found similar p-values

That's not what I'm aiming for. I want
MyHLL -> MyCompiler -> MyIR1 -> MyTransformer -> MyIR2 -> Backend
Where "Backend" could be a code generator for the JVM, CLR, or something
LLVM-based.
It would be nice if I
