Stratified Survival Estimates
Using R version 1.8.1 for Windows, I obtain an error message using the following code. The data frame was constructed in the counting process style, where V1 is the start time, V2 is the stop time, and V3 is the censoring indicator. There are no zero-length time intervals. survival analysis: plot.survfit
Hello everybody, does anybody know how the function plot.survfit exactly works? I'd like to plot the log of the cummulative hazard against the log time by using plot.survfit(...fun="cloglog") which does not work correctly. R help - bootstrap with survival analysis
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the proper way to ask questions, sorry if not. But here's my problem: I'm trying to do a bootstrap estimate of the mean for some survival data. Is there a way to specifically call upon the rmean value, in order to store it in an object? Is the output of survfit.coxph survival or baseline survival?
Dear all, I am confused with the output of survfit.coxph. Someone said that the survival given by summary(survfit.coxph) is the baseline survival S_0, but some said that is the survival S=S_0^exp{beta*x}. Which one is correct? By the way, if I use "newdata=" in the survfit, does that mean the survival is estimated by the value of covariates in the new data frame? Thank you very much!

Speeding up prediction of survival estimates when using `survifit'
Hi, I fit a Cox PH model to estimate the cause-specific hazards (in a competing risks setting). Then , I compute the survival estimates for all the individuals in my data set using the `survfit' function. I am currently playing with a data set that has about 6000 observations and 12 covariates.
