plotCI -- multiple plots on same graph
I have a bunch of lines I want to plot using plotCI()
What Id like to know is, how can I connect the points with a line and how
can I print multiple lines on the same graph?

Confidence intervals plot
Hi all!!
I am trying to plot several confidence intervals in a unique plot. That is, for each x, I have a confidence interval for a parameter related to x and I would like to plot them in the same plot, in order to compare them. The plot would look like some parallel vertical lines, each one corresponding to a x value. Their extrem points would be the confidence interval limits.
I do not know if

How to visualize paired t-test results?
I would like to know if you have any suggestions how to visualize the
results from a paired t-test (see the example data below). I tried to
produce plots that show the mean and CI's from the original data and the
estimate of the difference between means and the confidence intervals (see
below) from the t-test. I really don't know what would be the best way to
graphically display the

help
Hi,
help.I would like to plot the mean and standard deviation against a factor
in the xaxis- in other words I want an errorplot. I also want to put the
standard deviation like a "T" on top of a barplot. How can do this in R

plot mean + S.E. over time
Hi, there!
I finally became a disciple of 'R', after having lost years of my life
handling data with a popular, rather wide-spread spreadsheet-software.
Now I want to plot the results of many runs of my simulation over time,
so that the means +/- Standard error are on the y-axis, and time on the
x-axis.
I have tried 'boxplot', with timesteps as the grouping variable, but did

graphing with error bars
I am not able to find information about doing line plots with error bars in the R- help information.
Would someone like to tell me if this can be done in R and either get me started or lead me
to information about how to do the error bars?
Thanks,
Lana

how to add error bar to the data in R?
Dear all,
Does anyone knwo how to add error bar to the data point in a simple
xyplot? Right now, I have a .dat file including both the data points and
their standard deviation and read it in R. I tried function arrows(). But
it didn't gave me any arrows.
Thanks for the help!

how to generate bar charts with the standard deviation
Hi,
I have the two vectors mean and sd of individual columns, but I am unsure
how to generate bar charts with the standard deviation, even after looking
the help of barplot and barplot.2.

Dear Greg,
Thanks for the new release. The decomposition of the SSQ is just what I need!

Error bars.
There was an inquiry on this list recently about plotting some simple
error bars on a graph. Now Splus has a function (error.bar ---
originally written by Sue Clancy of DMS, CSIRO, I believe) to do this
job virtually at the touch of a key. (Well a few keys. :-) ) The
error.bar function is written completely in raw S --- no calls to
``.Internal'' or anything like that. So it would be

Using known errors and error bars
Hi,
I'm now to R and hope (actually, I'm quite sure) you can help me. I made
an experiment and measured two values. As I know the errors of these
values I want to use them with the linear regression,
eg
Value A
1.1+-0.02
1.9+-0.05
3.05+-0.03
4.0+-0.01
5.1+-0.06
Value B
4.2+-0.14
5.3+-0.05
6.8+-0.11
7.9+-0.01
8.5+-0.02
lm(B~A) does the linear regression but how can I

confidence-intervals in barchart
Hi R users,
1) How does one show confidence-intervals in a barchart and use rownames for
labels on the y-axes? I have looked at "plotCI" in "gregmisc" package . But
it does not seem to produce something like a barchart. The statistic, error,
upper-bound, and lower-bound are in a dataframe.
2) How to show CI in a barchart either using the statistic and, either (a)

RSvgDevice & sapply(plotmeans)
Hi,
anybody know why this not works for several
plots ?
When i set onefile=T the plots are stacked one about another
, onefile=F only the first plot is shown in AllbusMeansPlots.svg.
[h2 is a data.frame]
......hist and sapply works for several plots nice with RSvgDevice !
Maybe setting the title after apply is a problem, but until yet i didn't
found a better solution ?

error bars in line plots
Hi!
Could you tell me how I can draw a graph with error bars?
Sorry, I don't use R that often and I couldn't find it easily in the
documentation.

Impaired boxplot functionality - mean instead of median
Hello to all users and wizards.
I am regulary using 'boxplot' function or its analogue - 'bwplot' from
the 'lattice' library. But they are, as far as I understand, totally
flawed in functionality: they miss ability to select what they would
draw 'in the middle' - median, mean. What the box means - standard
error, 90% or something else. What the whiskers mean -

Problems with Package Installation.
I am having difficulty installing packages. For example, here I have tried to
install "gplots" but to no avail. I have tried multiple mirrors and
different packages (errbar) but after installation I seem to be unable to
access any of the commands or help pages. I am a little concerned about the
'lib' missing message but this has been present for previous successful
